I was thinking about asking the dealer if they wanted to buy it, saw a video where someone else did that. I wouldn't need much to make me happy. I'll hold and wait for now but I'm quickly losing interest when I keep seeing these kind of updates.
they'll just add a $50k ADM at the time of pick up and force you to walk away with nothing. i suggest everyone here vote with their wallets and get on a wait list for a competitors truck.

You think Chevy is still going to make a sub-$40k EV Truck? You think the CT is going to be under $55k?

Unless you want a pricey Rivian (which you won't even be able to get your hands on because they have production issues), the Lightning is still the only option until 2024. A Lightning Pro at $52k is still a good price for what it gives you.

Heck yea. Ideally I’d get a 3 row for the family but this is the closest possible especiallly with IRS likely hosing the forthcoming Kia EV9 from being price competitive with the Pro I’ve got on order. Hopefully the price and 360 degree cameras win over the Boss.

That’s not entirely fair. Rivian has been delivering at quite a rapid pace.

From reservation to delivery, it was less than one year for me, barely but it was. The Ford took an additional 3 months longer to get the Pro into my hands.

Granted, my Rivian literally has a door falling off, but they got it produced and in my hands. So I can feel it up close and personal when it falls apart.

FWIW, I thought my Pro is on par with my Rivian. The two major things are the lack of Copilot Assist, and the ER battery. If those don’t matter to you, even at $60k the Pro is worth it. Heck even if it does, I think it’s worth it.

PS. I’m biased. The price increase just indirectly raises the value of my now used F-150L Pro.

Rivian has produced 8,000 trucks with over 200,000 reservations in queue. If someone today decided they want a Rivian...they arent getting it until 2024 or 2025. I stand by what I wrote. You are one of the lucky ones. They aren't ramping up or scaling anywhere near as quick as Ford.

Just got an email that my order was updated. My Ford Lightning Pro order that was accepted by the dealer, but not yet scheduled for production
taken from a news report online.

Current retail order holders awaiting delivery are unaffected by this adjustment. Current commercial and government customers with a scheduled order are also unaffected by this adjustment."

So current order holders who are scheduled but not yet awaiting delivery are affected by the price increase?
My Pro order that is not yet scheduled for production increased to 52k. I’m out who knows how many more increases they are going to pass down before I ever receive it.

Were you a reservation holder who deferred and received the special offer for 2022 pricing? Is the increase showing on your order online?

Always amusing how each respective forum bashes the other as I've had the same or similar convos on the Rivian forums where they're bashing Ford's production numbers. I'm far from the only one who's gotten from reservation to delivery in under a year - and MANY have been waiting 3+ years. So they have their own problems. But let's focus on this post...

Both companies just published their production numbers this week, so let's just make sure we use actuals in our bashing please? Rivian produced 7,300 trucks in Q3 alone. The numbers you're giving are more representative of Ford who is at just under 8,800 F-150Ls since the start of production. Rivian's latest monthly production numbers are higher than the F-150L by a little more than 25% (albeit both are minuscule right now, 25% of a small number is still a small number)

Look I own both and participate on both forums. Just trying to offer a non-biased view as much as possible. So let's try to be realistic here..anyone who is just deciding today to buy an EV truck has the following options.

In Production:
1) Rivian - Available to reserve.
2) Ford - Not available to reserve.
3) Hummer - Not available to reserve.

Not In Production:
1) Chevy Silverado - Available to reserve.
2) Tesla Cyber Truck - Not available to even reserve.

If you're just coming to the decision today, getting one new before 2024 isn't likely regardless of which manufacture you choose, but only one manufacturer is both in production and taking reservations...plus if they keep having quality issues, I'm sure that reservation queue will shrink.

I’m not happy about the wacky reservation system, the price increases, the lack of price protection for Canadian orders, the deleted features with no retrofit option and the dealer shenanigans. If Chevy/Ram/Tesla avoids all that I’ll gladly give them my money.

Didn't realize you were Canadian. Sincerely apologize. Our neighbors up North have gotten the shaft....hard.

I am curious if the price increase means pro models could be opened up for more MY23 orders or…. Ford already scheduled the MY23 wave 1 pro orders so it is a sneaky way to increase the pricing for the “glitch” orders since those have not been scheduled.

You are probably correct.
