I never even got a shipment notification. I’m assuming over the weekend as it was delivered to the dealer on Tuesday and we are pretty close to the plant.
even though I had it listed on my order form.
Picked my truck up tonight. Initial impressions:
1. Holy crap it’s fast…
2. Love the one pedal driving and overall feel of the truck, it drives and turns a lot smoother than my 2021 PowerBoost does.
3. The Lariat model did not come with the locking under seat storage
4. BlueCruise is slightly annoying. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but multiple times it told me I wasn’t looking (even though I was) and then would tell me to take control, and when I did it couldn’t tell I had control and would start to slow the truck down on the freeway. No bueno in Chicagoland traffic.
5. Center screen is beautiful and doesn’t seem to be laggy like others have complained about.
6. Battery was at 100% when I picked it up, ER battery showed ~289 miles of range with outside temp of 30 degrees. Took it into Chicago and back ~100 miles and shows ~160 miles of range left. I had the heat running and drove at ~70mph. Didn’t disappoint…
6. Did I mention it is fast…
We will see what tomorrow brings, but overall super happy with it!
Sadly, I think the under seat storage is heading into class-action and/or recall territory for Ford. I'm starting to see reports of people not getting it even when they had it selected as a separate option and it is listed on their web order and/or window sticker. Online configurator as well as web order system still says it comes with the Lariat ER 511A package when the order guide, that most customers never actually see, has said it does not since September. Dealerships are not up to speed on this and many other issues with these trucks. 2023 ordering and production has become a quagmire of sorts with all the parts shortages.3. How many days was it in "in production" status?

Any ideas why it would take >2 weeks to put a truck on a train? I am struggling to understand what the destination charge covers and why Ford would estimate a fast delivery by 12/21 only to hold the truck for 2 weeks. Another let down of many I am afraid....
