2023 Wave 3 Order & Partitioned Lockable Storage (PLS)

Could I get some clarity on this.

When ordering Sept 7, the foldable Partitioned lockable storage was included in the 511a package (It's still listed as included)

The BP was never changed to reflect that it was a separate option until Mid Sept.

Since wave 3 orders are being delivered now, what are people seeing? Are they showing up with PLS or not at all? Are you guys saying anything to your dealers about it?

I keep seeing pictures of Frunks showing up without the netting also, and that wasn't an option on the BP either.

Actually the frunk net is in the B&P. It's the Bed – Cargo Net – Vertical for $75. But I couldn't tell you how long it has been there as an option. The PLS is an issue. Definitely false advertising. When you click on it, it still says it's included in 511A and Platinum; and the 511A package still shows it as included.

I encourage everyone encountering the missing/ misrepresented partitioned lockable storage to file a formal complaint with their dealership and it may be helpful to maintain a list here. Ford will ultimately have to answer to this if enough of us complain. I've already posted on this in another thread, but this is definitely an upcoming class-action or recall in the making. My truck should arrive at the dealership soon and I'm assuming like others it will not have the PLS, even though it was not a separately selectable option with the 511A package. Which as we all know, still says it's included in the online order configurator. This does not impact me accepting the truck, however I will be complaining to Ford independently and through my dealership. Since placing my order for the 2023 in wave-2, I have lost onboard scales and smart hitch, cabin intrusion sensor, partitioned lockable storage and heated steering wheel. All which were supposed to be there when I submitted the order. Supposedly the heated wheel can and will be added back later.

I messaged @Ford Motor Company about this on another forum. Asked for my vin and then no response. I was a MY23 wave 1 and it showed the PLS as included in my Lariat ER at that time. Truck showed up without it.

I think that @Ford Motor Company doesn't actually do anything except collect VINs and dealer names. I've seen loads of messages from them asking for these, but not a single message acknowledging that they helped in any way.

FWIW, I ordered PLS with my Lariat SR, and it did show up with it.

Good luck getting the lockable storage installed after the truck is built. They'd either have to drop the battery or pull the cab off the chassis to do it.

I tried to get the cabin lockable back seat box on my early April 2023 order for Lariat ER but it rejected the item and said it wasn't available anymore. I'm still waiting for my vehicle – build is estimated late August but when I look at the "build your order" Ford web page it shows the box is available. I have emailed my dealer asking if it is indeed available... However, I'm wondering if this is a product anyone has investigated, BUT- they don't say specifically that Lightning version is available on web page.
