No that doesn’t seem right at all. Mine was the same and they would only apply the PCO and not honor the order price. I walked and they are sitting on a $63k PRO.
I'm also in WNY....the $7,000 private savings offer, was treated as a rebate in my case also. The $5,000 October and the $4,000 December price increases were taken off the window sticker price prior to taxes being figured. The $7,000 on the other hand was figured into the taxable amount....then subtracted (as a rebate) from total sales price.
That's similar to what my dealership did at first as well. I told them that I should be price protected and the price should be 13k less than what they were saying. It took half a day and I contacted the regional rep for Ford, but they got the price where it was supposed to be. You are protected from the other price increases, Ford will pay back the dealership for them. Now, it is possible that you might have to pay the higher amount up front and they'll give you the check once they receive it from Ford, but my dealership didn't do that
Well, he's right in one aspect I guess, but that's just splitting hairs on the names of the different protection. I believe they called the 7k a private offer or something like that, the other ones are a price protection. I'm attaching the memos from ford that state that if you had ordered before the increases that you are not affected by them. Maybe they can help.
