Ford will not refund cash. They are bleeding cash on their EV segment. Look at the earnings announcement. However they should, as a goodwill offering to loyal Ford EV early adopters who paid the 2023 price increases, provide Ford Pass points or a credit voucher for a future Ford vehicle purchase.
Ford is not bleeding cash on EVs. That's oil company/related media FUD. Ford has solid EV sales margins (they make money on every EV sale, lose money in teh sector due to accounting rules on write-off of new investment). The segment "loses" money due to R&D expenses, stand-up of new facilities - it is called investment. I'm a CPA and public company board member, chair an audit committee - all this "Ford loses money on EVs" stuff is pure BS.

i agree. there should be a class action lawsuit for recoup at least part of reduction for anyone that paid full price approx. 60 days prior to $8k price cut.

there are several postings regarding class action on the TESLA price cuts although i don't see any particular law firm pursuing yet.

if interested google search "lawsuit Tesla price reduction"
complete BS. Zero basis in law or point of equity. No one held you up. I paid $136k for a Tesla that now sells for $89k. Happy customer nonetheless. Got value for payment, end of story. Such whiners.

Would be nice to get media attention on this and investigate why Ford increased the price drastically and then dropped it drastically within 6 months. What is the impact on loyal customers and early adopters of new tech and to warn future Ford Customers that it’s best to wait and not purchase early. We kept the factory going and were proponents of Fords newest vehicle and this is what we get. Lesson learned I guess. I expected rebates would be coming but nothing this drastic that impacted our vehicle resale so drastically within a few months.
It's called a competitive market and market pricing. Circumstances change, deals change. A year ago Ford gave me more than MSRP for my year-old PowerBoost King Ranch with 15k miles on it. That ruck is now worth $20k less than the trade valu ethey gave me. Guess I owe them money? Markets and prices are fluid. Get over it.

I bought my Lightning Platinum on7-11-23 ...Why should Ford profit $10k more from my sale?
Because they negotiated a price and profits are the name of the game. Get what the market will bear. I am selling two antique vehicles right now for multiples of what I paid. Guess that's price gouging? Cost means almost nothing in pricing metrics - it is all about market. Look at Tesla's price gyrations - way more dramatic that Ford's - all over the place based on constantly changing market dynamics. Don't like it? Buy used - except even those prices are being whipswaed by MSRP changes.

Did you reserve your tesla 2 years ago based on the advertised price? Well alot of us did and alot of us can't afford a $130k car. I was enticed by the original price. . It's called bait and switch. Ford came out and said we could by a lightning for $39.974 that got alot of people's attention. Then they said the cost of materials went way up and they jacked up the prices. Well 6 months later I guess the price of materials must have come way down. The first 200k people should pay the original price.

No one made you do the deal. Literally no one. You could have walked at any point up to closing. By signing you said you were satisfied in both a legal and moral sense. There is ZERO bait and switch. And even if it were, that is neither illegal nor immoral. No one has to close, full stop. It was never about cost. Price is always about market value and demand. Demand dropped and so did price. Same for Tesla, which is also being predatory with respect to pricing against competitors. As it should be. That’s called a market. You’re only “hurt” because Ford cut prices after your deal closed. Otherwise you’d be fine? Defined sore loser, whining. Let’s be adults and own our decisions.

Why do you continue to use logical points to combat the pitch fork and torch crowd?

If you do not know the whole story you should not judge it makes you look childish.

What would the date be on wave 6 or 7 ?
I was Wave 3 of the 2023 model year orders, invited right as, or a day or two after Ford announced the price increases. No price protection. Only the first 2 waves received price protection. You had to have your order in and confirmed by Ford at the time of the price increase announcement to get the protection.

F-150 Lightning Lariat ER
This thread is starting to turn into a mess. If you don't mind the price reductions, cool, keep on doing your thing. I personally think raising and dropping prices in less than a year, especially when the net difference is effectively $16K (for Lariat ERs, once the most popular build) is kinda lame. Am I pitch forking about it? No. Do I think Ford should be better than Tesla in terms of wild price changes? Yes.

Is name calling and / or soap boxing in defense of a multi billion dollar company productive? Not really.

Honestly, this thread should probably just be closed. No one minus a few will get rebates. It is what it is, outside of voicing opinions to Ford there is nothing anyone can do.
