Sun Run: Shipment of FCSP Unit

Timeline:

8/29 - First notification from Ford that my truck will be delivered by 9/10
8/29 - Contact Sun Run to expedite shipping of FCSP
8/30 - Sun Run contacts me to create a priority "case", assigned me a Case Manager and we connected weekly via telephone and email.
10/9 - Take Delivery of Truck
10/11 - Ford system marks truck as "Sold". Sun Run receives notice.
10/17 - Sun Run ships unit via Fedex and provides tracking #
10/18 - FCSP Unit arrives

The focus and attention Ford and Sun Run exhibited resulted in the unit arriving nine days post delivery. Sun Run's commitment is to have the unit in your hands within two weeks of receiving the sold notice from Ford. In my case the unit was delivered seven days after receiving the sold notice.

I received my FCSP about 4 weeks prior to delivery of my truck. I assume it was because my trucks delivery date changed over 3 times after the build was complete.

I received my FCSP and had it installed almost 3 months before my truck was delivered - because my truck was scheduled to be built 2/18/23 and was delayed because of the February '23 Dearborn battery fire and wasn't built 'til April and didn't arrive until May 5th, 2023. I haven't hashed it out yet with Sunrun and Ford to make sure my warranty runs from the time I actually got my truck. Same with the HIS unit (Intelligent Backup). It was installed 6/12/23 and really hasn't worked yet. So I'm likely to be losing almost half a year of warranty on that if they date my system setup from 6/12/23 and the thing doesn't get operational until November or December.

I am having my own electrician install. Sun Run sends out the unit early if they are doing the install.

My experience was very similar. About 7-8 days after I took delivery. I am surprised they would ship out in advance unless all the paperwork was done in advance too.
