I have looked high and low for the weight ratings for the ICE wheels. Does anyone have a source for this? I called Ford customer service and the agent couldn't find that info anywhere.Be aware that of all OEM wheels for other F150 models, only the 18" HDPP wheels are rated for the much higher weight of the Lightning. There are a number of aftermarket options though.
I talked to the service center at my local dealer. They couldn't find anything about weight rating for any of the F150 wheels. His suggestion was to go based on the weight rating for the stock tires for the same size rims.I have looked high and low for the weight ratings for the ICE wheels. Also, does anyone know the actual part number for the HDPP wheel? I can find the option code, but not the part number.
Thanks!
Here is the page from the Ford Body Builder's Layout Book. This is the page from the 2023 book and for some reason it shows a lower (1991lbs) rating for the HDPP wheel on the front axle than 2015 when this wheel came into production, but still 170lbs more than all the other non-lightning wheels (1825lbs). The slight reduction in rating seems to have happened around 2020.I have looked high and low for the weight ratings for the ICE wheels. Does anyone have a source for this? Yes looking for those as well and 18 tire combo not a fan of the 20 lariat wheels.I think you’re the second person on here to put on Tremor 18” wheels. These are my favorite so far!
18" wheels stock on my XLT and they are far superior to any 20" wheel ever made for beach driving. The 20" wheels have too little rubber so they don't air down properly.Yes looking for those as well and 18 tire combo not a fan of the 20 lariat wheels.
That’s most likely due to the +34 Offset/Brake size and required tire size.
