So I had this happen quite a number of times, and at first I thought it was a fluke but it appears to be duplicated easily on my end.

I notice that if I am in the truck completely powered off (like I am waiting for someone), that I hear a quick popping noises out of the (top?) speakers. It doesn’t happen at any given interval, which makes it annoying to get it on video.

While on and playing, I have no issues.

Anyone else experience this on the audio system, especially the Unleashed?

EDIT: here is the small clip I found from several months back…

Hi John! I can look into your Lightning's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Lightning's VIN?

I thought I was loosing my mind lol. It sounds like a the pop of a speaker being plugged into a stereo when the leads first touch. I have a 22 lariat extended range.

@Ford Motor Company, let me know if you come up with a solution or need my info as well.

This only happens when the truck has been off and is powering back up, right?

I’m pretty sure there is TSB or is that TBS? Anyway, your dealer should be able check on that and make the necessary fix. I would check directly with them.

No, the truck was on and then shutoff.

So for example I drove to some place, and I just waited in the car. Everything has been shutoff, and the driver door has been opened/closed to make sure no power is being used and the center screen is off. Several minutes after, I get this popping noise.

Like @Ynotbike said, the noise reminds me of a cable was plugged into a stereo.

My issue seems to only happen when the car has been off for a while the “deep sleep” then when I unlock and open any door, stereo pop.

I am also having this issue. It reminds me of a home audio speaker popping and crackling when there is an unshielded current near by.
Any fix yet?

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Mine was doing this, as well as all the system sounds coming from tiny dash speaker instead of sound system. I used FDRS to update a few modules that were available a few weeks ago and that cleared up the issue for me. One of them was a DSP module, not sure if that was the one that did it...but glad to have my normal sounds back and no static pop!

I will look into this option. When I sent the PM as suggested above by the FORD rep they just told me go to the local dealer. I am not opposed to that, however not all dealerships are quality, especially with the newer EV vehicles. I’d prefer not to have everything stripped down for no reason. It never goes back together the same…
