Blue Cruise stopped working

I was driving on a major interstate where I know it was working the other today but today when I set the cruise control the Blue Cruise option did not come on and this was over a 100 mile span. Not sure why all of the sudden it didn't give me that option.

Make sure lane assist is turned on, if it’s not you’ll just have adaptive cruise control.

Yes it was turned on. I used it the day before on the same road and it was working fine.

No BlueCruise at all or no hands-free BlueCruise? What time of day did it not work? Did you do anything with Forscan or FDRS recently?

When BlueCruise has not worked for me the sun has been low in the sky or there has been some other impediment to visibility.

No hands-free BlueCruise. It was around 1:00 PM and the visibility was good. I didn't do any modifications. I will have to try it again next time I'm on the interstate to make sure there isn't an issue with the truck now.

Assuming you had no OTA's process between then and now?

A while back I had an OTA's that applied immediately after I finished charging at a DCFC station, the subsequent drive would not allow the hands-free mode to engage.

The next drive cycle everything was working normally.

Here is how I lost the BC functionality.
An OTA, (3 parts update), didn’t load correctly. It only notified me that the vehicle needs to be serviced by your dealer. FordPass, indicated that the update was not successful. A day later, on the interstate, BC and hands free was inoperable.
Called Ford Customer Support and they patched me directly to the BC dept. Apparently they knew something was wrong with their OTA update. Ford arranged with my dealer a prompt appointment and worked with my dealer to fix the BC issues. One of the major issues was the forward looking camera. It was generating a misalignment code.
I am aware of the low in the horizon sun because I have mentioned it few times on my travels with both my Lightning and my Mach E.
I don’t know if your situation is similar, but you need to get in contact with Ford Support to schedule you an appointment with your dealer. It seems when they,(Ford), gets involved, the dealer would expedite your issue and Ford will be in contact with the dealer’s technician to work on your BC.
It took a whole day to fix mine.
Now it is working, but haven’t had any OTA updates lately.
From the comments I have read, other forum members had similar issues with their BC on their vehicles.
Whatever the issue, call Ford and stay on top of it.
