Last update I got after purchasing the truck was March 8th. I’ve had the truck for a couple weeks now. I had to get the BMS sensor CSP and HVB update shortly after taking delivery. It downloaded and updated 4.2.1.1 like the screenshot from my app shows, but now it’s stuck on not completed with something shown in my updates. I know this has been asked before but even when I got the CSP work they said they “updated everything” and it would take a few days to show? Anyways it’s been a week almost since the CSP were completed and the supposed updates. The truck is great and I think I’m only missing a few nice to haves but I wanted to ask here to make sure something funky isn’t going on. The not completed update says to record feedback but I know that option is already in the truck. Did the dealership flash me backwards and confuse the system? Anyone have the ability to look up my VIN and see what is going on in FRDS? Any help would be appreciated.

My second 6.2 update was showing like yours for over a week… I went and turned the WiFi off in the truck and it immediately started downloading over cellular and installed

I’m new to this and got my truck a few weeks ago. I got an update 4.2.1.1.
Am I still really far behind updates?
One paragraph says simply go into your vehicles sync settings, I can’t find that in the menus in the truck.

Look at my signature. These are all updates I got after 4.2.1.1. First few are not the OTA numbers. I could not remember them so I wrote the modules they updated instead.

I still have 7 modules pending (waiting for updates) but ford has not made those available to my truck for download yet.

I purchased the truck a little over a month ago. Got “the good stuff” update about a week ago. At first I was a little grumpy because I assumed updates would be done while truck sat on dealerships lot. Then I realized, it’s still fast and fun to drive. Outside of not having the state of charge on dash (except on calm screen) I have no clue what other “good stuff” I’m missing out on. Kick back, enjoy the truck and ignore the FOMO.

Bought a 23 XLT ER, with Sep 23 build day, on Apr 27th. Got 4.2.1.1 on Tuesday last week. Then 4.2.1.2 on Friday. Excited for the first few updates. What were the build times for the battery CSP? Mine is not showing it or maybe the dealer took care of it while sitting on the lot. Hoping for new updates soon.

I was thinking of the LVB that was affecting the OTAs. But I don’t have either CSP showing for my truck. So I guess I am good.
Read the technical sheet for the P/N of the BMS, and look under the Frunk battery cover to see if you have the newer version.

hope is all you have! as you'll find out there is no rhyme or reason who, what, why, or when updates will reach you. so just ignor it and enjoy the ride! (I'm on 6.2 and my truck was built over a year ago)

For everyone saying just sit back and enjoy the ride (truck) even without the updates to me is missing a key point. I do not want the updates because I care about a SoC in the screen, I want the updates that fix things that Ford purposely left buggy in the software with the idea of doing OTA updates. Currently my truck dings for no reason while sitting still or driving, it randomly shows warnings when there is nothing wrong and certain things just don't work properly. If you are going to take the modern approach of release a vehicle with buggy modules and software then you need to take the time and effort to send the updates in a timely matter if they are complete. If it were a matter of the updates not existing that would be one thing but there are updates for the a lot of the issues I am having they just aren't pushing them to my truck. That is both frustrating and honestly poor brand loyalty. A perfect example would be the modem, it was buggy as hell when I first got the truck and wouldn't connect to the network half the time. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't do anything, finally got two connectivity updates almost a year later and it finally works properly. As it stands I have no intention of buying another Ford for this reason and have told many random strangers who ask me how I like the truck to avoid it. Yes the truck is fun and amazing but the fact that it is buggy and not getting updates is a deal breaker. It's not FOMO that I have, its wanting my truck to perform correctly and it can't because Ford doesn't have a proper update infrastructure.

Double check your settings for notification categories in the blue toothed phone configuration, android auto, car play, Ford Navigation, there are several levels of detail that will cause dings & tones.

I've checked all of that, doesn't matter what phone I'm using or if I have settings turned on in Navigation. This is just random, not matter what I am doing and it is the warning ding like when you first get in the car not the notification chime. I can be driving down the road, two dings or sitting still two dings. Also sometimes when I open the Frunk of the tail gate, the chime messes up and just spazzes out and sounds like a stuck app with this weird chatter. My dad who has a Mach E and none of these issues laughs a lot when he is riding with me and this happens. Because unlike my truck his Mach E seems to get updates.

I have not experienced any negative issues (besides not having SOC). If I was in your shoes and dealing with a bunch of minor bugs, I would also be disgruntled.

I am now "stuck" for a month on the second 6.2. OTA. Ford needs a better way to communicate updates and get them pushed out.
