OTA ECG-24.2.4.9 Software Distribution Enhancement

Just received first OTA since the Tesla Supercharger update. This is ECG-24.2.4.9 improvements to the xmit and recv for software updates:

Edit: I wonder if this is to address the issues with the 12V somehow? Maybe to get the BC update we've been waiting for ready?

This is new. The way the update is names is also different from what they've done in the past. If you or anyone else that gets this doesn't mind sharing the VIN with me, I'd like to get more details on what module(s) this update updated.

It is updating the GWM. I was told ECG is an alias for GWM.

I am hoping that some of Ford's hires from Tesla are beginning to have a positive impact on software updates.

This is very intriguing. I wonder if it's primary addressing failed updates or will result in us getting updates sooner after they are released.

I always assumed that it's was Ford's end that kept us from getting regular updates, sometimes months or over a year since they are released. Maybe it's more to do with our trucks not accepting or asking for them.

Yes, it is. I have never seen Ford refer to it as the ECG before and it threw me off. For those that like to keep track of these things, this is what changed,

So let me make sure I understand....
Those people that are continuously getting updates are now getting an update that will help them get more updates?
But those of us that aren't getting updates, continue to fall farther and farther behind.
