And yes, the less side wall you have the less effect airing down has. That’s why the off-roaders like 18’s. It still helps with low profile tires though.
Yeah your original reply to my post was really helpful and gave me more confidence in trying out beach off roading.

Can't speak to range, but climbed over a few tall dunes (~70') at Oregon Dunes and was very impressed with the traction even with 20" AW tires. 4WD down, but had to lock the diff going back up and over the steep climb.

Try using Lanolin Anti-corrosion lubricant spray underneath before doing the sandy stuff.

Then wash everything down afterwards to remove the salt and sand. A technique to help with washing underneath is to pull an oscillating lawn sprinkler through to wash it all off. If you've done the lubricant spray, it should be straight forward.
