After testing the ground fault, you must press the reset in the outlet panel in the bed.

Update: or press the on screen reset prompt for frunk/cabin or bed for which the GFI test was selected.

I did it there at the infotainment center. I scrolled down to the bottom where I did the test.

Does your truck have factory or aftermarket spray in liner?

On rare occasions folks have found the wiring harness disconnected during the coating operation
It's a standard bed, no liner or anything. I bought a rubber mat for it, otherwise completely stock.

I've run my entire travel trailer on the truck bed power for days at a time, it can definitely power a heated blanket unless something is really wrong

it just seemed strange that it says there's power going there and nothing seemed to work.
All you've reported is that your electric blanket doesn't work when plugged into the bed outlets, yet it works in the house.

If you test the bed outlets with a meter or by plugging something else in like a trouble light, and they work, you have a problem that others have reported: some devices do not work on ProPower.

If the bed outlets actually are not working when Ford's software reports that they should be, then you can say "nothing works".

I've experienced the first type of problem. My old dremel zip tool that works anywhere else doesn't work at all when plugged into my 2024 Flash, while everything else I've ever plugged into the truck bed outlets, including my travel trailer, works.

There is something odd about Ford's ProPower.

For 2024, Ford claims we can turn our trucks off, and still have power in the truck bed outlets.

My truck can do that, but only for a few hours. It reliably turns itself off in the middle of the night when I'm at a campground, with the truck off, powering my travel trailer with ProPower. I haven't diagnosed this yet. Some say that when a 2024 Lightning is turned off with ProPower left on, the bed outlets require some sort of steady or more often used electrical load otherwise the truck shuts them off after a few hours.

I tried asking the new 24/7 Ford text line for an explanation, i.e. did Ford intend the system to act this way, or is this something that can be fixed. I got nothing useful. They ended up directing me to contact a dealer.

Okay, so update for everyone. A lamp works in the outlets, a heated blanket doesn't. The heated blanket works in all the house outlets, but not the truck. It's not a special heated blanket by any means. It's just a twin size with 1e heat options, a button for on and off, and then a 1e hour off feature. Maybe that could be what's throwing it off.

Sorry it took so long to get that test proven right away. I really don't know if there is a remedy for this type of thing to be plugged in. I got it for a camping trip to keep warm (the lady) when we go out in the truck. Maybe other brands have different wiring and will work?

Will the blanket work if that lamp is also plugged in and on at same time?
Plug both into the the same outlet group, e.g., lamp in upper outlet and blanket in lower outlet.

Not sure what would cause the blanket to not work, but happy to hear your truck doesn't seem to be malfunctioning.

Do you have a tent? Sometimes I run a portable space heater. Just a suggestion in case you don't find a solution to stay warm in time for your trip.

This. Try this and report back. If this doesn't make it work, your blanket is just not compatible with that type of power that comes out of this type of inverter.

There are device's that just do not like working with the type of power that comes from certain types of inverters. Usually it's LED bulbs that flicker or some contraption that just is not happy without a beautiful sinewave from a power plant.

Given the return policy a lot of stores have, I'd buy another brand of electric blanket and return it if it doesn't work.

When I discovered that my dremel tool didn't work when plugged into my truck's ProPower, others reported that their similar but not identical tools worked in the bed outlets for them. All these tools had some sort of speed controls. Most worked. Mine didn't.

I tried that and it would work. I think the blanket has some odd features that doesn't work well with the truck. The lamp was also a dimming style lamp so I could change from completely off, to full brightness, no problem.

That's not a bad idea! Unfortunately, I don't have a space heater or a tent lol it was just a simple drive in movie style idea I had. Take a scenic route, pull over, watch a movie after watching the sun set and beautiful scenery 👌

I'll probably end up keeping this one since it'll work on her side of the split king bed!! I'll maybe do some online shopping though to see if there's another brand that is compatible. Maybe Amazon since they have a fairly easy return policy.

It does raise the question though, is it the blanket with the auto off feature that it doesn't like? Or, is it the amount of power needed to turn it on? 🤔
