Mach-e, 2016 F150
As a car and truck owner, I'm looking forward to a matched set. I have my Mach E, now time to replace my ICE truck.
Nice to see you here @ChasingCoral (I’m Macheeee on the other forum). Your research and posts helped out a TON in prepping for receipt of our Mach-e in February.

we have a 2016 F150 for our business in Tahoe. It’s usually loaded up with about 750 pounds of gear. Occasional towing of a pleasure boat up and down the mountain. I suspect 300 mile range may be a little out of the question. We have taken our Mach-e on several trips of about 500 miles total. The charging hasn’t been too bad and is improving with the electrify America network fixing some of their early bugs with plug and charge. I do hope that Ford and the charging networks improve the actual charge speed. It seems to decline from maximum output rather quickly dependent on the charging station you use.

That long? Kind of surprised, though I'm not sure how many were offered. Unless there is some terrible, glaring drawback to the Lightning I think if they're offering a First Edition I'll be there. I really wanted a grabber blue FE Mach-E, but we had other things going on at the time. For the cost of a GT or GTPE, I'm more interested in a truck.
It didn't take 3 weeks. The announcement was on 3/19/2019. I kept thinking about it, but by the time Thanksgiving rolled around it was no longer available to order. Fortunately, in August 2020, Ford released a handful fo First Editions, and I was able to snag one at that point.

In his interview with Electrek, Darren Palmer hints at the Lightning charging above 150kW. I wouldn't be surprised at all. The Lightning has about twice the battery the Mach E does, meaning the kW/cell is half what the Mach E pack gets. That means charging at 350kW would be an equivalent per cell charging as a 175kW charger on the Mach E. We already know the Mach E peaks at 165kW for a minute or two, so there is every reason to believe the F-150 could handle 330kW during that zap-and-dash starting part of the charge. This is why Ford is promising a similar charging time for the Lightning as the Mach E despite twice the battery.

We also know the charging station density along routes will only get better with time.

I do wish Ford were giving the Lightning a 400 mile range option but I think with an improved charging network over time the 300 will serve its purpose.
