  1. F-150 Lightning Excluded From "Red Carpet Lease" Loyalty Discount

Whatever it takes to thin the herd! Once Ford officially confirms that consumers can't buy ER Pro in the configurator, we'll probably see another exodus. At this rate, I stand a chance of a '22 afterall!
  2. It's Oct. 26. Sound off if you visited your dealer today.

That person kept ignoring those of us who successfully transferred, sometimes multiple times. I wouldn't take anything they say with even a grain of salt.
  3. Finding EV Charging Locations

Again, it's not about how many are on the road now, it's about how many will be on the road in the near future. I know long-term thinking is heavily discouraged in this country, but the OEMs are finally getting serious about making more than compliance EVs. The incentive is being able to...
  4. F-150 Lightning EV Tax Credits & Rebates - Discussions & Predictions

I mean, an unrealized capital gains tax itself is wishful thinking and would never be implemented by either party in a million years, so while we're in dream land mode we can pretend that they wouldn't creep the limits lower.
  5. Finding EV Charging Locations

I think it's too late to get completely ahead of it, but we haven't even begun to hit mass market adoption yet. It's still relatively early, so I think that 4 to 6 months will look like days compared to the increased demand over the next 10 years.
  6. Finding EV Charging Locations

Absolutely. Any smart business or commercial landlord should be working on installing these things yesterday. Want to attract the young startups to your business park? Provide rows of L2 chargers. Apartment complex wanting to be competitive? Add some chargers, maybe even allow residents to opt...
  7. F-150 Lightning EV Tax Credits & Rebates - Discussions & Predictions

Wow, that sounds horrible! Is there no way to set a minimum limit? Oh wait, there is. I'd recommend not sticking up for the ultrawealthy, you're just an ant under their boot.
  8. Flat Tow the Lightning- Towed by RV??

It'll be a very short distance over extremely slow speeds, it should be fine in this scenario versus traveling hundreds of miles at 60+ MPH.
  9. F-150 Lightning EV Tax Credits & Rebates - Discussions & Predictions

Oh shoot, I never heard this one before! Someone paid for it, why would you remove it? I really hope manufacturers don't pick up on this terrible practice.
  10. F-150 Lightning EV Tax Credits & Rebates - Discussions & Predictions

I won't lie, Elon is part of why I never consider buying Tesla. Him and his cult members. Really turns me off. But I do love what effect they've had on pushing EVs forward.
  11. F-150 Lightning EV Tax Credits & Rebates - Discussions & Predictions

If you think every automaker is like Tesla, I want what you're smoking. If they all went direct sales, I doubt they'd be as volatile as Tesla.
  12. It's Oct. 26. Sound off if you visited your dealer today.

Thanks for pushing me that much closer in line, lol.
  13. Some Lightning pics from Austin event - Iced Blue Silver + Atlas Blue Blue + 450 miles range

I'm really, really, really hoping that these reports of unladen estimates of 400+ hold true for production.
  14. It's Oct. 26. Sound off if you visited your dealer today.

They live and breath lying to potential customers' faces. Don't threaten them with a good time! Despite his position in the company, I don't trust the guy further than I can throw him. He loves basking in the fluff tweets and then sometimes vaguely replies to a concerning tweet here-and-there...
  15. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

All of their official material references "Fall 2021". As pointed out in multiple threads, that's technically into December. So while we all hoped that the rumors were true, they don't really need to tell us anything because they already told us something ("Fall").
  16. [Kearny Mesa] Ford Lightning Update: Order Bank Date Pushed Back

As a consumer, that's the dream scenario while dealerships are still legally required to be involved. No offense to you or any of the other honest dealerships on this forum, but removing as much of the middlemen as possible needs to be Ford's goal, and it seems like it might be.
  17. Impressions from Ford F-150 Lightning EV Tour -- Boston

Absolutely. We're still waiting to see how the economy and housing market plays out before deciding if this will be a long-term home or a stepping stone before a build. Hard to justify solar (or any major home project) if you don't know if you'll be here 10 years from now.
  18. It's Oct. 26. Sound off if you visited your dealer today.

Honestly, the configurator tool with the official pricing would go a long way toward quelling some of the unrest. But if December is truly the target date, even that won't be available for a few weeks at the earliest.
  19. It's Oct. 26. Sound off if you visited your dealer today.

Not surprised. I am hoping a few people take up their dealers on those offer, for reasons.
