Whatever it takes to thin the herd! Once Ford officially confirms that consumers can't buy ER Pro in the configurator, we'll probably see another exodus. At this rate, I stand a chance of a '22 afterall!
That person kept ignoring those of us who successfully transferred, sometimes multiple times. I wouldn't take anything they say with even a grain of salt.
Again, it's not about how many are on the road now, it's about how many will be on the road in the near future. I know long-term thinking is heavily discouraged in this country, but the OEMs are finally getting serious about making more than compliance EVs. The incentive is being able to...
I mean, an unrealized capital gains tax itself is wishful thinking and would never be implemented by either party in a million years, so while we're in dream land mode we can pretend that they wouldn't creep the limits lower.
I think it's too late to get completely ahead of it, but we haven't even begun to hit mass market adoption yet. It's still relatively early, so I think that 4 to 6 months will look like days compared to the increased demand over the next 10 years.
Absolutely. Any smart business or commercial landlord should be working on installing these things yesterday. Want to attract the young startups to your business park? Provide rows of L2 chargers. Apartment complex wanting to be competitive? Add some chargers, maybe even allow residents to opt...
Wow, that sounds horrible! Is there no way to set a minimum limit? Oh wait, there is.
I'd recommend not sticking up for the ultrawealthy, you're just an ant under their boot.
Oh shoot, I never heard this one before! Someone paid for it, why would you remove it? I really hope manufacturers don't pick up on this terrible practice.
I won't lie, Elon is part of why I never consider buying Tesla. Him and his cult members. Really turns me off. But I do love what effect they've had on pushing EVs forward.
They live and breath lying to potential customers' faces. Don't threaten them with a good time!
Despite his position in the company, I don't trust the guy further than I can throw him. He loves basking in the fluff tweets and then sometimes vaguely replies to a concerning tweet here-and-there...
All of their official material references "Fall 2021". As pointed out in multiple threads, that's technically into December. So while we all hoped that the rumors were true, they don't really need to tell us anything because they already told us something ("Fall").
As a consumer, that's the dream scenario while dealerships are still legally required to be involved. No offense to you or any of the other honest dealerships on this forum, but removing as much of the middlemen as possible needs to be Ford's goal, and it seems like it might be.
Absolutely. We're still waiting to see how the economy and housing market plays out before deciding if this will be a long-term home or a stepping stone before a build. Hard to justify solar (or any major home project) if you don't know if you'll be here 10 years from now.
Honestly, the configurator tool with the official pricing would go a long way toward quelling some of the unrest. But if December is truly the target date, even that won't be available for a few weeks at the earliest.
