Anyone else noticed the Nav "quick tile" in the row of recent apps/screens is no longer there by default? Every time I get in now rather than just being able to tap one of the quick tiles I have to go up to the Apps button, then Nav, then it shows up as a recent/quick tile.
I guess it's only...
So trip down was pretty good at almost 4.0, so call it an average of 2.5 up a down, which is what I get close to normally. Would feel comfortable climbing ~100 miles and knowing I could get back to where I started with enough battery.
@tofan This was in the Cascade Mountains around Mt Hood
I was a a little worried coming into this one, and halfway through I'm feeling better. Will see what the return trip looks like. Climbed 4500 ft over 40 miles and averaged 1.4. This was ~half 40 mph paved forest service road and half ~10 mph gravel/rock crawling. Started at 90% with an estimated...
Like @Theo1000 said, slipping it into Neutral while going downhill would be the easiest/simplest way to truly coast, because yeah, "coasting" even with OPD off does slow you down with the mild regen.
I always drive with OPD off, so I do coast as much as possible. That particular trip was up and over the coast mountain range, which peaks at about 1500 ft elevation, starting from about 100 ft. So my total miles per kWh suffered some from climbing.
But now I'm curious if the reported miles per...
Definitely could be. Although I'm not sure if the FCSP would automatically de-rate the current if it has an error, vs just tripping and trying again? If the physical switch on the FCSP and the slider in the app are both set to a certain amperage, I would hope the FCSP couldn't just choose it's own.
Well, at least I got one charging session in without error. Last night I wasn't so lucky. Also no idea why it would think it needed to charge outside my preferred times (11pm-7am) since it was at about 75% when I plugged in. Temps here yesterday were cooler than Monday...
Successful set charging rate to 80 amps via FordPass, and charged 37% last night with no errors. Daytime high here was about 90 yesterday, with charging scheduled to start at 11pm. Finished charging at 2am. FCSP software version 68
I hadn't charged in about 3 days but my FCSP still had the update when I looked. I'm sure all it needs is it's wifi connection and they're rolling out the update progressively
I have the same version number, but never got any kind of notice. Will try to set amps back to 80 tonight and see what happens (been at 60 since started having issues with trips).
Just wanted to say thanks to all who have responded/added their experiences/knowledge- never expected to get so much feedback, but very helpful. Appreciate you all!
I had mine pop open while going through a car wash (the ONE time I used a brushed carwash vs brushless 🤦♂️) and couldn't exactly get out and take care of it. Thankfully no damage/issues. But FYI...
15-100% for the ER with the FCSP at 80 amps is "about" 8 hours (per the Ford graphic comparing the different charges and SR vs ER). So I'd presume 9-10 hours at 80 amps should be enough to go from 0-100. Having that reduced by 25% down to 60 amps should, in theory, increase charge duration...
Thanks. That makes sense, though I wasn't expecting it to account for the slower charge speed at a lowered amperage setting in the app, vs via the switch in the FCSP. If it's smart enough to account for that, seems even more silly we can't see ANYWHERE in the app or in the truck what the actual...
