A factory reset may help, but make sure you have backups of your important files. It also helps to have any drivers on-hand that you may need to reinstall. If your RAM is having issues, you may still have ongoing issues.
Your last screenshot leads me to believe you may have bad RAM, some sort of corruption on your storage drive, or a virus.
1. If you are running Windows 10, open "virus & threat protection", click Scan options, then select Microsoft Defender Offline scan.
2. If you want to test your RAM, try...
My PB never went higher than 12.1. I didn't attempt the updates using a VX Nano. I should have checked the voltage in Forscan before purchasing a 2 day license.
I think you're on to something. My Job1 truck hasn't received any updates and I have two DTC's - U023A:87-08 (Lost communication with Image Processing Module A) and U2404:92-48 (Ethernet Failure with Image Processing Module A).
Here's what I see in Forscan:
Here's my AsBuilt from Ford:
Edit...
Definitely got a little spark, but maybe I'll try the rod again.
Is there documentation on removing the battery on a PowerBoost? Was thinking about taking it out and over to an auto parts store to have it tested.
Looks like I may have a bad battery. The charger went into abort mode. After plugging the charger back in to check status, it says 11.6v at 10% charge (obviously estimated). FDRS wouldn't go higher than 12.1v.
Thanks; I readjusted the bite on the positive terminal and ground point, and turned off headlights. Should the truck be in accessories mode when starting? Door open or close?
For my reference, I used JScaro's picture to adjust the connections.
So I went ahead and purchased the two day FDRS license and am using a VCX Nano. I'm hooked up to my truck (without doing network scan), but the voltage is only at 12.1 volts (wish you could see this before buying a license). I have a charger hooked up at the max (12A) for battery type AGM but it...
So I haven't received any OTA updates (built in March '21, picked up October '21). Dealership tried to apply updates and failed twice back in November. I just received the Nano but am leaning towards returning it because it hasn't been consistent for yall.
Also just got back from a 3 day...
So I downloaded that version and Microsoft Defender flagged it too - "Win32/Bladabindi!" (severe).
The 1.8.6 was a "low" threat, I might just stick with it
Does anyone have a link or download for VX Manager 1.8.4? I saw a post early on that said they installed it and then did an upgrade and didn't have the virus issues. (Post 23 had a link to a "clean" 1.8.6 but the link isn't valid either)
