I got the newer version of that one, same day delivery too. It’s super fast. I can do a complete format in less than 5min. Did that every time between updates to have a clean drive.

Just ordered 2 of them. If you're doing the updates that fast I'm impressed as I'm sure others will be as well. Are you also using the VCX Nano?

Yes VCX Nano too.
the steps on when to shut down and restart are critical. Each step I waited a min or two in between. I never clicked the updated OK on the PC till after the truck screen said restart.Than click ok on PC and waited for the remove USB. Sometimes that was right away others I had to do another restart before it said to remove. On the FDRS check files also never seemed to all pass first try.Just checked retry and prompt to do a restart and it rescanned the files and all passed.

I have like 6 of these of varying sizes from 32-128GB and it didn't flash an update any quicker than using my USB SD Micro adapter with a 32Gb card.

Also learned it was best to disconnect the VCX nano from the truck and let it shut down 5-10min than hook back up and look for updates. Sometimes I would just do a key cycle or 2 in-between before looking for updates. If I didn’t, that’s when I got all those DTC’s

Maybe that it’s a SS USB, who knows ?‍
but I’m happy with it.

I was in the same boat. I bought the VCX Nano the day this tread started and now finally using it. I’m getting some updates done and wish I wasn’t a cheap ass and got the month license. Hope I get far enough today that the OTA start working.

Great news! Looks like the linked VCX Nano just went back in stock, so I ordered one. Hopefully mid-March I'll be able to get it working quicker than Ford.

I can confirm it works. I have used it on Surface 4 Pro with W11 and my Alienware M15R3 has W11 and it works great with both FRDS and VCX Nano
