The thought counted! Thanks, can I send you a beer for your efforts?
Don't try to update the Cruise Control Module with the NanoI might have sometime this weekend to roll through what I can with the Nano safely (no IPMA).
Can someone see what presents I have waiting for me please? 1FTFW1ED8MFA91029
Thanks!
If I'm not mistaken, the GWM update appears after the package CCM/IPMA/PSCM update completes?Huh, no Gateway module in that mess. A little surprised. Will have to avoid CCM/IPMA because of nano booby traps
Are these the modules that get an update to allow Bluecruise? trying to dig through this and see what exactly needs updated for BC. thanks. If I'm not mistaken, the GWM update appears after the package CCM/IPMA/PSCM update completes?
Okay we are all good my tests turned out f
Im good now
Ok been waiting about 10 minutes after restart . Man if it’s working in background it takes forever.Yea, it has to finish some procedure when it says "to complete the update restart the truck". So you shut the truck down, open the door, and many folks wait for several minutes before restarting the truck. Then you wait patiently for the Sync screen to inform you success and to remove the USB stick.
Then you tell FDRS Yes, and it runs the file verification against the module.
It IS the final updates (appeared very recently) that prepares for BC.Are these the modules that get an update to allow Bluecruise? trying to dig through this and see what exactly needs updated for BC. thanks.
Exactly what step are you waiting at?Ok been waiting about 10 minutes after restart . Man if it’s working in background it takes forever.
Yes they are part of them. I just completed them, along with a GWM and *APIM and I have Blue Cruise workingAre these the modules that get an update to allow Bluecruise? trying to dig through this and see what exactly needs updated for BC. thanks.
Updating the vehicle in FDRS to any level does not currently fix the OTA issue. You get the updated modules, but as it stands will have to update them again in FDRS.Wow, I'm jealous of everyone getting their BlueCruise while I'm still hoping to get my 1.7.1 update. I do not "need" bluecruise for another 2 months for our cross-country road trip, and I'm not loving the idea of spending $500 on the mongoose + a Ford license. A couple of questions:
- The nano is much cheaper than the mongoose, but I understand it is not as good. Can it do the updates I need to get past my 1.7.1 failed update so I will at least start getting OTA updates again?
- Do we know if there will be an OTA fix for 1.7.1 or will the fix be a trip to the dealer?
- Anyone willing to sell their mongoose once they are done?
So I am re-download and it’s installing now again and when it says restart I am going to get out and leave it until the morning . If no luck in morning guess I will have to go can route. First 4 fail and last few passExactly what step are you waiting at?
The Sync screen stating "restart the truck" and then you did?
If that is where you are and you did NOT get a repeat "restart your truck" command, then be happy that you are not in the dreaded "restart loop". ???
But yea, you just can't tell what's going on if you are waiting for "update successfull, you can remove the USB"
I'm not exactly sure what choices you have, but since you aren't in the restart loop, you certainly can shut the truck down and get out. Lock it. Get the Fob far away, and go eat some tacos and then try again? (start the truck and watch the top left corner of Sync for USB detected, then indexed. Then wait a few minutes again)
