“F150 Lightning unblocked”

I occasionally get some messages on my infotainment screen when shutting down, and starting my 2023 SR PRO.

In addition to “f150 Lightning unblocked” when starting, I’ll also randomly receive “f150 Lightning saved” message when turning it off, as well as something about turning off to save the battery.

Also, the start chime will come through the dash speaker sometimes, but chime through the stereo system at other times. My dealer days the low voltage battery is fine.

Its part of the 23 Gateway software. It happens when the gateway resets. If you dont get that message Ford pass wont work.

Yeah the 23s have a new gateway. The unblocked is normal . THe chimes through the IPC rather than the audio system is indicative of a module reset.

The Gateway has a Watchdog timer.. at least thats what they were called when I was young.. that will reset the module incase it detects its locked up. typically a no comms for x amount of time triggers the reset.

The Reset is not new to the 23 but the unblocked is.
