This isn't a troll...an engineer confirmed the entire thing. Motors, batteries, and fried wiring. Massive short circuit apparently.

Well considering this would the first lemoned Lightning, it would generate a lot of bad press for @Ford Motor Company and EVs in general. It’s gonna be on Fox News for hours on end. First massive failure out of 2500 units delivered? Not a great look.

All this to say, I would be surprised if Ford doesn’t offer OP a Lightning Platinum to replace this.

Generally when they offer to lemon your vehicle, they ask you to sign an NDA for that reason.

I mean if everything failed, wouldn’t it benefit @Ford Motor Company to just build a new truck and just take this truck to examine what happened and where they need to make improvements, recalls, OTA? I don’t think it would be more cost effective for them to replace everything, I’m sure it’s over $20k alone without labor

Not true at all. Lemon Laws exist to protect the consumer and happen all the time. NDAs aren’t a thing unless there is some other compensation involved and NDA is a part covering the actual compensation.

I had to sign one as part of my replacement before. They can offer it as a good-will replacement rather than going through a formal lemon process, particularly in this case since it doesn't yet meet the criteria for lemon laws anyway.

I am not really sure how lemon laws handle vehicles that are very difficult to obtain in general. I am sure Ford could squeeze out a replacement vehicle if they wanted to though.
