✅ 12/05 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023)

Original ETA was 12/28-1/3. Was changed to 1/6. Spoke to Ford support yesterday who informed me the truck had just shipped with no estimate on ETA. When I checked the reservation screen today, it lists estimated delivery of 1/27-2/2. I know some others have been waiting much longer, but that would be a total buzz kill.

Now we're "Estimated Delivery 1/6/2023 - 1/12/2023"

It looks like the window is a 7-day stretch, but doesn't start on a particular day of the week (went from a Wednesday to Tuesday window to a Friday to Thursday window). I've seen these build dates jump back and forth in build week posts on others so it doesn't mean anything, but just want to share as an updated data point.

Did you ever get a "shipped" status on the tracker or email?

Wow. You all are a bunch of chatty Kathys. It was quite the slog to pick out updates from your vast conversations. Congrats to those of you who had deliveries this week. Very exciting.

I don't update delivery estimates. When your truck is delivered, I like to see what the date diff is between the actual delivery date and Ford's original estimated delivery date.

Thanks. I believe it arrived at the dealer on 1/4. I have already done all the paperwork at my dealer on 12/30/2022 to make sure I can write off the whole cost of this truck per IRS rule section 179. It has been raining hard in So Cal for last couple of days. I will pick it up on the next sunny day. hopefully Saturday.

My delivery date just went back to Jan 6th-8th. I feel like Ford must be conducting some sort of experiment with a camera recording my every reaction on this roller coaster ride. I still don't have a ship date but I see a filled circle:

Edit: Ford CS tells me I am still on Microchip hold dispite the fact that Ford is telling me it may be here tomorrow. What a S. Show..

be careful with the IRS stuff. Most things I've read, say put into service instead of sold date.

Yes, you are right. That was why I had a discussion with my CPA before. She told me that I can only write off 60% of the cost if we made the transaction starting from 01/01/2023 and can write off 100% of the cost if we made the transaction before 01/01/2023 ( purely for commercial fleet only).

I decided to look at my dealers online inventory. My truck isn't there, but they show a Lariat with these wacky numbers. They also had a link to the sticker.

Need Pictures after delivery dust settles.

Right after Ford CS told me it is on chip hold, I reached out to my dealer and they told me it is on the move and it is in PA. Still no shipped date.

Just heard from my dealer and my truck is currently in Gibson In. (363531000) It is expected to be at the dealer Jan 22. I assume the number is a train car but I haven't been tracking it myself. The number was in a text from my salesman. The truck will be delivered to Bakersfield CA.

Original delivery estimate 12/23/12/29. Still reads that way - no change.

Ford chat, marketing and the dealer have no idea why it still has not shipped. Deny chip hold. Ramp 51, “released to shipping company” last week. Shows on dealers website as “in transit”.

I’m only 2 hours from Dearborn.
