Yeah, at this point i’m just putting it out of my mind and waiting for the dealer to call. Hopefully before winter.

Driver was like "F that 3LCD guy, his truck is going to the November lot".Got my first activation pending! My truck is at least on. Probably moving it to the November delivery lot would be my luck![]()
If the truck is drivable and i would believe they all are that bedliners would continue. No reason to stop that part, just like they aren't stopping the assembly line. However, anything is possible.Random question, do they still spray the bed liners right away even if they waiting for chips? Or is that held up as well? It would suck to have to wait even longer once they actually install the chips to then get the bed liner sprayed…
Seems like they are going to have a massive backlog of trucks to ship once they get this sorted out.
This way they can claim they have “built” 5000 trucks this year.I would agree with Greg. I think that they would want the truck as “complete” as possible and just wait for the chips. This has to be a logistical nightmare for them. Although, they should be experts in this situation by now!!
I got the activation screen on my Ford Pass as well as a truck picture.
I sure hope it's that simple and then they can drive them a quarter mile down the road to the shipping lot.Wonder what the retrofit of the missing chips looks like - do they give Vinny a box with some chips and send him out to the parking lot?
probs give a static free bag of chips to an intern and point him to the lot with a print out of VIN's that need chips...Wonder what the retrofit of the missing chips looks like - do they give Vinny a box with some chips and send him out to the parking lot?
I had that status initially then went to chip hold a week later.I am not sure if this is good or bad

Sometime last year, Ford was talking about shipping vehicles and having these chips installed at the dealer. You would think they would take the same approach. I mean it take about 14 days for the Truck to get to the dealer, you can overnight these chips.I'm guessing that we don't have anyone else here getting any built or ship notices?
The week before us are getting built and ship notices. I'm guessing another day or two they will have them cleared out. I know there are some random trucks from early weeks still in MI too, but I have a feeling we are now going to be the ones shoved deep into the corner where it takes forever to get us out. Just speculation at this point.
For those talking about chips - I figure most of us truly know, but those chips are built into easily replaceable black boxes, etc. It should be as simple as getting to where they go - under the dash or under the console and plugging it in. It shouldn't take too long - it just depends all on where we got parked.
If anyone got remote access to your truck - share with us your location - anonymously if you can. Don't need Ford tracking you and then shutting you down.
