Had a very efficient drive yesterday.

After playing around with some of the vehicle programming, I was able to crack the code to improve efficiency. It seems to work on SR trims, haven’t tested it on ER yet.

Get into the vehicle and turn it on accessory mode. Do not start the vehicle. During the boot up screen you have to perform the following sequence, and it has to be completely done during the loading screen.

Hit the UP button on the right side of the steering wheel twice.
Hit the DOWN button on the right side of the steering wheel twice.
Turn the steering wheel to the LEFT full lock.
Turn the steering wheel to the RIGHT full lock.
Turn it back to the LEFT.
Turn it back to the RIGHT.
Hit the Back button on the wheel.
Hit the call Answer button on the wheel.
Then hit the START button to start the truck.

After that, bam. just like in Contra:

Infinite miles. You can now drive anywhere you want without needing to buy the ER battery.

@Ford Senior Master speaking of your dealer/owner looking at installing a fast charger, or 8 or 10, I was in HUNTSVILLE AL(RocketCityUSA!) last week, at my son's, looking for a fast charger option - looks like the MERCEDES dealership just installed a Chargepoint unit within their dealership parking lot... which is a nice option since NOTHING in the Huntsville area(a huge and GROWING metro area) is available for fast charging, believe it or not.
I pulled in, found the charger, and attempted to park, although the placement was not ideal. I had to pull up to about 1" from the charger's 'post' in order for the cable to reach. I went inside to the restroom and was greeted kindly and asked if I wanted a water, drink, or even a snack...nice. The manager also stopped by and we chatted about the truck and range and the charging infrastructure holdup across the county, as Mercedes also has their own EVs. He stated that they probably paid over $100,000 in total unit and install costs for this brand new charger.
I told him your idea about every Ford dealer across the country installing a fast charger - he agreed that dealerships really SHOULD be the focus point for fast chargers, in towns and cities, and let the other 'guys' worry about the interstate exits.l

@Ford Senior Master
It’s a smart advertising idea too. You’re driving foot traffic to your dealership and you’ve got a captive audience while they are there.

Shit that is like those old GTA cheat codes we had to enter on the Original play station.

Anyone taking these flimsy plastic fairings off?

I might have to go @Yellow Buddy and go Darth Helmet on the antenna. It does look like the “which item doesn’t belong in this picture”.

Fit and finish is overall good but my tailgate isn’t quite centered as the gaps on right and left aren’t the same.

The other oddity is that the rear door lock plungers sticking up are not vertical (and neither angle matches) and one sticks out more than the other.

Added these OEM 6” boards just now which I got from a guy who took them off his ‘22 Roush F150. They are the extended version. Not sure I like them yet. I was hoping they’d sit up closer to the bottom of the cab.

The fairings might be multi-purposes. Flimsy sure, but I could see them deflecting/absorbing minor rock and small debris kick-up, serving as aero to move air out from underneath the truck, and potentially minor corrosion protection in keeping the salty stuff on the plastic bits rather than the metal bits that make up the battery. Just my guess. Part of the reason I got OEM boards was to cover that low hanging cover..

@Ford Senior Master
This may become reality very soon. I am hopeful there will be some incentives put in place soon concerning EV dealerships charging infrastructure. All that is required now by Ford for EV certification is Level 2. Ford is very serious about becoming the #1 manufacturer of EV's very soon.
