Just to throw it out there, I was listed as in W. Chicago at Junction point according to Ford Chat from 9/10-Morning of 9/20 when an update finally came through and I was all of sudden in Mira Loma, CA on 9/19. I say that to say I dont think their primary status which is what chat references to give us updates is up-to-date lol.

If you can track via railcar and UP phone number I'd recommend it but for instance with @Invictus and @spinnerbait it's giving out incorrect information so folks on other lines like them might not be able to. The UP phone allowed me to get a rough ETA, it was jumping between 9/17-9/18 from the first call until the strike talk got loud and then I started to get pushed back but even then I ended up arriving 9/19. @CRAIGC540 was the same thing he arrived really close to his projected ETA.

So when I call UP it gives me like no status reports. The only things I can make out are something about 9/20 departure. Departure origin flat rock and eta is 9/22. Would that be eta to the first stop or is that final stop?

I mean I'd have to listen to your rail car report to be sure, but Loaded Departure is just saying your railcar has something in it (your truck) and is rolling along departing various stops along the way. For me, the ETA was the arrival at Mira Loma, but it never said that until it had dropped off, before that it would say it didn't know where it was headed. It did always say origin ramp Flat Rock, MI. For instance if I call now, and give it my railcar number it's saying Empty Departure, origin ramp Mira Loma, CA since there's no mo Lightning in it and it's headed somewhere else to do it's thing.

Ford chat says I’m in riverdale with no railcar # listed although I was able to get one 3 days ago. The railcar I received still says empty in CO and I’m in SoCal. No change in estimated delivery 9/30-10/6 so it should start moving soon, hopefully.

This is what I imagined happen to me too. The rail car number they gave me said it was in Washington state yard empty. ( automated train number). But when I asked chat 2 days later they said it was in Riverdale. No train car number available. We should be in Cali in about this time next week I think.

Wow, got the built email and shipped email within 40 minutes overnight. Shipped as of 9/21/2022. Finally get to join everyone else in stalking rail cars!

You seem to be right there we a bunch of carts heading to CA. Not that I fully understand the process, but here is what I pieced together so far...

• Left the factory on Canadian National Railways, for that I had a valid rail car number. CNR dropped it off in Riverdale, IL.
• Tracking the number on Union Pacific gives me an old status from June (empty, released by industry). Essentially that car is not in their system currently.
• Now it seems to get bounced around. Yesterday is was marked as arrived at Junction Point (Indiana Harbor Belt Rr Co ) Blue Island, IL. Today it's received at Junction Point (Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Co ) Blue Island, IL.
• My understanding one of the two companies will move it to the UP junction 3 miles away and then the railcar number might track... we'll see.

As long as the status changes, i am good It'll get there!!

Checked in with Chat, they said the truck was in transit at Flint Rock, MI. ETA added 5 days and is now 10/9 to 10/15
