Well this is weird...finally heard from my sales guy...this is what he says:
Ford has the Lightings tied up right now in a stop sale due to a module update and defroster issue. I check daily on the release of parts and will let you know when there is an update.

Anyone else heard of a "stop sale" order?? I sure haven't seen one. I know the CSP is there, but looks to me like Lightnings are still moving off dealer lots...

Well, I am picking up my new lightning in two hours from my dealer, so I don't think there is a stop sale. My dealer stated my truck only needed the CSP software update, which they did this morning. Otherwise PDI showed everything was good with the truck.

I believe there is an actual windshield defroster and defogger recall on around 900 trucks that were produced in August. I enquire this morning to a local dealer that has a XLT on their lot and said they could not sell it until a recall was completed, I assumed it was about the windshield defrost issue. Was your truck produced in August?

New manufactured vehicles with open recall items must be resolved before they can deliver the vehicle, the defroster issue is only affecting a small number of trucks.

Components: electronic cabin coolant heater

Affected vehicles: select 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning pickups built between July 27th, 2023 and August 30th, 2023.

Number of vehicles affected: 929

The fix: dealers will replace the electronic cabin coolant heater, free of charge.

Yeah, no recalls listed for my VIN, only the CSP (which I knew about). Truck was marked "built" on 09/25.

Interestingly, the https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking/ just updated to a delivery window of 10/21-11/03 (previously listed as 10/17-10/30). Ford.com account page shows new delivery window as 10/24-10/30 (previously 10/20-10/26).

I do kind of wonder if the trucks in this build week still not marked built encountered the heater issue but they're doing the fix before marking them built. There's proximity to the build weeks covered by the recall.

Finally got some action. Not only has my tracker went to order confirmed, my ford pass was actually activated so I can see my trucks location. I’m 100% not going to be able to focus at work now
