So I got a package from FedEx today. Wondered what it was as we had not ordered anything and found this. Weird as my order status still says in production.

Mine was one of the first mailed out last spring, the order tracker STILL shows the same status.

It might have been discussed before but is there any real difference between the lectron and the Tesla adapter? I have the A2Z pro adapter now. Wonder which is better or are they all the same?

I wanted to share my personal experience.
I’m also the second owner of my truck. I purchased last spring and immediately ordered the free charger(before I even took possession of the truck as it was an out of state purchase). The account on the truck was still in the first owner’s name so this was the address Ford sending it.
After many calls to several different Ford departments, I finally was able to get the account reset and was able to reorder it in my name.

It was a hassle though and left me with the opinion that Ford departments communication with each other is close to non-existent.

After trying the Typhoon Pro, Typhoon and Ford / Tesla OEM adapter. Here are my thoughts on them.

They all work great and beats having to use Electrify America. The most user friendly is the Typhoon pro due to the single switch to control the CCS side and NACS side. I also like how easy it is to hold the Typhoon pro securely. The lip on the NACS side is a nice touch to make sure the adapter doesn’t slip out of your hand.

The Ford / OEM Tesla dual latch is a little more user friendly compared to original Typhoon but a little harder to grip securely while toggling both the latches. I think grip tape might be nice to have as long as it doesn’t mess with thermals.

That was a great write up. I got the A2Z pro adapter right after I bought the truck as I had read Ford was having issues sending them out. I’ve already done 2 cross country trips with the A2Z and I like it. Since my wife has a Blazer EV I’ll probably put the ford adapter in her car for emergencies. I doubt she will ever use it but better to have and not need. lol.
