I Purchased Lighting June 14,2023 at Old Price called Customer Relationship Centre at 1-800-565-3673 after price decrease.

Ford gave me a case number and told me they are looking in to compensation.

I’ll keep you posted.

I bought mine in June. Yes, I’m pretty bummed about the price cut and the nice and low financing they are offering. But no one twisted my arm to buy it.

Lesson learned, never buy another thing as the price may go down or up after you buy it. 😎

Hello,

My 2023 Ford Lightning was purchased (cash) over Memorial Day weekend and on July 15th the price dropped $10,000 because of Tesla's truck coming out.

Today when calling Ford's Customer Relationship number (800-392-3673), I made it to the Marketing Department of all places.

When asking if I was eligible for the $10,000 price reduction, they said "absolutely you are eligible for that money". Please contact the Dealership you purchased it through and they have to run the process from their end back to us. The dealership replied that they would look into it.

All this happened over the lunch hour and I'll keep you posted.

As mentioned before, I bought mine 4 days before the price drop. Was I disappointed? Absolutely! But angry at Ford? No. Stuff happens in an open market

I do think it would be fair if they at least offered a "free" charging credit to those of us who were impacted over such a short time.

I think you made a deal stick to it.
I bought my Lightning Platinum on7-11-23 from the dealer’s inventory 6 days before the price reduction. Yes, a deal is a deal and I have no choice but to stick to it. However. Ford reportedly lowered the price because it’s battery components and production line costs were lower than expected (their words). My dealer had four other Lightnings in their inventory which were still unsold on the day of the price reduction 7-17-23. The cost to manufacture all five of these trucks was lower than Ford expected. Why should Ford profit $10k more from my sale?
P.S. My dealer has assured me that Ford will be making an adjustment but they could not say when it for hire much. If you are in s similar situation, call Ford’s marketing department. They are recording feedback on the issue and are very understanding o of the issue. They told me they have talked to others that bought the very day before the price reductions were announced.

Update, ford motor company agreed today to give me a refund of $4500. That's a win for all of us.
Please give us the full details. Was this a price protection adjustment on a reservation or related to a purchase from a dealer's inventory/stock?. Did you contact Ford (Marketing, etc.) or your dealership to make this happen? I purchased my 2023 XLT Lightning on June 22, 2023 so very interested to hear your details.

i agree. there should be a class action lawsuit for recoup at least part of reduction for anyone that paid full price approx. 60 days prior to $8k price cut.

there are several postings regarding class action on the TESLA price cuts although i don't see any particular law firm pursuing yet.

Ford agreed to a $4500 refund yesterday. It's a good start.

Glad to hear. Why $4500? How did Ford notify you? Any FordPass Points offered?

I waited 2 years for my truck. I contacted my dealer and ford motor company. My dealer contacted ford and was able to get the $4500 . Your dealer has to be the one to get it done. Ford did not build the trucks in the order they received the reservations so alot of us where caught up in the price increases that should not have been. Alot of us were enticed by the original price to buy one and not told that the price was just to get us excited. It's all a big game. Suck you in get you excited then raise the price.

I was notified by my dealer, no points offered.

While I don't see someone like me getting money back, I did reach out to Ford asking them to consider non financial rebates such as subscriptions to their services and to see if they could make previously ineligible trucks eligible for the federal rebate. If enough people ask, maybe we can get something out of it.
