Over the past couple of months when my truck cools the cabin during the set departure time my 12v battery will go as low as 50% state of charge. Took it to the dealer and they tested the 12v battery. I was told the battery was like new. They kept it for a week and tried to recreate the issue. I was told no problem found. Over next few weeks things went well and now the issue is back.

I have removed departure times and no issues with the 12v battery.

I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue and how you possibly resolved it?

I have been searching the forum and have not see any post on this issue.

Is the 12V battery actually causing any problems, or you just don't like that it's getting down to 50%?

When I try to start the truck it will not start due to the state of charge of the 12v battery, so I have to jump it to get the charging system to going to get the state of charge to a point when the truck will start. I really like to be able to use the departure time setting and not have to jjump the 12v battery every morning.

are you asking for the truck to 'pre-condition' the battery, or are you asking the truck to get ready for a 'departure' time?

Later you noted that the truck is always plugged in, does you charging scheme have limits for SOC ie. 85, 90% and do you have limited times frames when charging is allowed? ie. overnight hours that stop prior to commencement of the departure time frames?

What is your most recent software update on the Sync screen?

What year is your Lightning?

Helps to update forum vehicle profile so we have a better understanding of age.

I am using the departure time to cool the cabin. I assume the AC power will charge the 12v battery if it goes below a certain state of charge.

I'm assuming that your bms CSP has been carried out.

12v car batteries are incredibly easy to test.

Step 1, charge battery out of vehicle

Step 2, attach load tester set for cca rating of battery being tested.

Step 3, activate test load and check result.

If you have a time limiter on your charging scheme that does not cover the period of time a departure time event is occuring, the truck won't receive energy from the EVSE.

Can you please send over a message with your VIN and estimated mileage? I would like to look into your battery concerns on my end.

I assumed that is what the dealer performed. If I leave the truck at work in the parking lot for 12 hours the battery stay charged.
I will test it

I do not have a time limit on my charger or truck.

50% on the 12V is plenty to start the truck. Something else is going on. Have you checked for any diagnostic trouble codes?
