Sorry - not comfortable sharing my source at this time.
MurphysLaww post sounds like the wave 7 process. It was Lariat only but closed June 24th. Not sure if someone sent them an email late.
Interestingly, it seemed like they steered her towards a Lariat. She was going to get a platinum, but then they told her she could get the max towing package with the Lariat. This did not sound like the standard lightning order process. This dealership has had their business for over 50 years, and I think she responded to an “orderbanks open” e-mail that wasn’t specific to the lightning and they just let her order it?

Their family probably has 10+ fords, and have probably bought 50 from the same dealership, including a 77 crewcab her Dad bought new, and they still have.

pricing wise, she said the price for the extended range lariat, with the max tow package and ventilated seats, ended up “$13k less than the platinum” which is $90k?

Looks like Atlas blue is a goner. Bringing over Azure Gray tricot and Avalanche. They look like Cactus gray and Area 51 from the Bronco color palette to my untrained eye.
Heres a quick fun fact.. Atlas blue is the same as Artesian Blue metallic they use on Lincoln. I learned this when I bought touch up paint for my Corsair...same paint code. So much for Atlas blue being unique. For y'all that got Atlas blue, it's beautiful, but it shows dirt really bad, especially after it rains.

So if the rumors are correct, 2023 models will basically be stuck with white, black, various shades of gray and silver, or red. That's kind of disappointing really.

Not that I don't think those colors look good. Some people just happen to enjoy brighter or bolder colors. It's nice to have options.

Don't worry I am sure Ford will get rid of Red and Iced blue silver as well as well - you will have options of white, black, gray, slightly lighter grey, darker grey or for the bold, slightly shiny grey!

Ford's color game has been really horrible lately.

Where did you hear this? I hope it's true! I extended my 22 order.🤞
I do not understand how invitations to order 23MY will go out next week with out the "build it, price it webpage going live on FORD.COM. If I remember correctly the "build it, price it" for 22MY came out way before the order invites went out.

You are forgetting that 150k reservations doesn't mean 150k orders. I suspect the conversion rate is going to be fairly low, especially if everyone is pushed to Lariats and Platinums again.
I think that the conversion rate is going to go down significantly based on the following:

1- When everyone made their reservations in May and June of 21, we all expected to order our trucks "in the Fall" and take delivery in "spring of 22. For most, it will be over 2 years after they made their reservation before they get their truck. A lot can change in 2 plus years.
2- When everyone made their reservations in May and June of 21, we all expected to get the full $7,500 tax rebate. Very few will actually get the full $7,500.
3- Interest rates have gone up significantly and will continue to go up over the next year.
4 - Inflation, it is affecting everyone.
5 - If reservation holders are going to have to wait until the middle to end of 23MY, some will choose to wait a little longer and get the Chevy or Ram. Both of them are offering ranges of over 400 miles

Just my thoughts!

Price increase will also factor into this significantly, none of us know (or if they do, they can't say) how much Ford is increasing the price for 2023.

That is what it seems to say, not that I believe it.
