Hi all -

I'm a new the community, having only been lurking for a few weeks while I decided on what Lightning trim to eventually jump for - and what offers were out there with local Seattle area dealers.

Well, just last week I found this beauty on a dealer lot and pulled the plug! F-150 Lightning LARIAT trim with antimatter blue color - it's my first truck as well! I'm not new to EVs having previously owned a Chevy Bolt, but stepping up to a full, real truck has been a pretty incredible experience...the roominess, the ride, the practicality!

I'm simply blown away by the vehicle - 'jaded' I think is what others are calling the feeling elsewhere in this forum, and I can't agree more. I'm not sure I could ever step back down to a sedan or small SUV.

Next up:
* Getting a Level 2 home charger installed (looking at the Emporia)
* Spray in bedliner (Line-X appears to be the best choice)
* Roll up soft cover > any tips or recommendations?

Don't think I'll be doing any other mods at this point...I just want to enjoy the truck largely as is and see where things go. There are just so many adventures waiting for us!

Looking forward to continuing to learn about the truck, the tech, and everyone's stories through the forum. Thank you for sharing!

Just bought my Flash before Christmas. Couldn’t be happier so far. Most in here seemed to have had a good experience. Only down side for me has been a vacuum of knowledge at the dealership.
I bought a backflip hard cover for the back. We get a lot of snow up here in BC and did not want to risk the soft cover. No snow probably not a big deal for soft cover.

L2 charging you will want at least 40 amp model or higher.

Welcome to the forum and out of lurk mode, don't bother with any EVSE that's higher than 48 amp capacity, that is the maximum your 2024 Lightning can charge at.

Emporia charger has worked great for me. It integrates with my Emporia energy monitor, so I know how charging fits into my overall electric usage.

Spray-in vs drop-in bed liner is kind of a personal choice. I personally have always gone with drop-ins because they are extremely durable for unloading stuff by by shovel or sliding things in and out, including occasionally by forklift. They are impervious to chips and scratching. I selected the Ford factory drop-in liner. I would give it a B- rating as far as drop-ins go. Fits OK, but it definitely has a lot of dead space in the corners and the cutouts for the corner tie downs are not convenient due to this dead space.

Similar story with bed covers - there are many options depending on your preference. I selected the BAK Revolver Hard roll up cover and it has been great as far as covers go.
