2024 Lightning XLT "build & price" AND window sticker both say it's included - it's not: What now?

Thanks! I noticed that the window stickers on all 6 XLTs at Kisselback Ford have been fixed to remove the front sensing system. They still show the Tailgate assist, but Ford obviously now knows they made a mistake on the earlier XLTs. Thanks again, keep me posted and I'll do the same.
interesting. I have PDFs, screen shots and a hard printed window sticker.

If I've seen this behavior once over the past 2years of Lightning Ownership I've seen it a dozen times :(

Ford is constantly correcting things behind their closed doors and then telling the ones who were wronged to pound sand. I know several people who deserved buybacks after having their truck in the shop for well over their state's lemon law and were bullied into default buyback rejections by the BEV team. No lemon lawyers wanna touch anything to do with the Lightnings, they want easy cases where they can verify the truck has been in the shop for 30+days and bill the most hours they can for a quick buck. They don't want to do any kind of real ethical correction or battles with Ford. I've proposed class action cases with several. I have proof of multiple instances where Ford has modified the firmware of modules to avoid NHSTA scrutiny. These are serious issues, like the way they calculate the power derating when there is a HV battery issue, the way they calculate parameters dealing with blue cruise operation, the way they calculate the battery State of Health which they don't disclose, yet your warranty is based on it. It's ridiculous, they are a giant elephant and they think they can do whatever they want and until enough of us band together and find an actual decent lawyer that knows the difference between a kW and a hp. I say all this, but I love my truck. I have had a battery module replaced at 50kmi and 86kmi. I'm an electrical engineer and I've asked several time for details and quantitative specs on the batteries that were put back in my truck both time and crickets, All they say is sorry, we can offer you some reward points. Meanwhile I'm less than 10kmi from the battery being out of warranty and they won't sell me ANY kind of battery warranty beyond 100kmi. Yea, They literally said, sorry, there is NO warranty options beyond 100kmi, zero. And with thousands and thousands of people having modules fail,, me late in mileage, how is that right. You're going to not tell me anything about what kind of used/refurbed battery module you just put in my truck at 86kmi and then when I ask about extending my warranty b/c even though I've been for 60+ days of it's life there is no extended warranty options,, NONE. But here's a few thousand Ford Reward points worth less than 1cent, go away. It's absolutely ridiculous, I can't wait til a good lawyer, who is part of this community has a couple battery module replacements beyond their state's lemon law period. I will be in the front seat of any class action that happens with this truck, and all while saying, "this truck is awesome, it's the best truck I've ever owned and I'll never drive an ICE again".

The problem here is Ford and the way they are treating us, not the truck.

I'm in the same boat with my 24 XLT, but for what I'm leasing this truck for, I'm fine with it. $299.96/mo with only 1st payment due at signing. Went through a broker so there was a fee for that, and then I paid to have it delivered instead of going to a dealership 4 hours away to pick it up in person.

That said I fully support you guys trying to get the features that are actually on the sticker and were on the Ford website. Especially if you bought the truck outright.

what you are describing is much more complex. It involves software and subjective determinations of the condition or status of a systems. What we are talking about it simple. Does it have sensors or not. Not how well the sensors work. Much cleaner.

My dealer did the same thing! They even gave me this form when I bought the vehicle.

My XLT has neither Stop-and-Go or Lane Centering. They did offer to take it back but the Flash cost of $8k more put the monthly out of my budget and I do still like the truck.

My biggest pet peeve is that these option were standard on the low level trim of the cheaper Tacoma I traded in as well as my 3 year old Outback.

What the hell Ford. Way to cheap out on the wrong features.

Hey, they had to do something so they could make an automated gear shift lever. It is an important safety feature. /s

I believe they removed that as well for the '25s, the workbench and the folding shift lever.

Good thing. That is if they gave you something useful instead, like a garage door opener.

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but I have used my workspace to do work with my laptop while charging, it's useful for me. It wouldn't be a dealbreaker not to have it, but I prefer to have it.

Truck doesn't fit in my standard sized garage so when my wife is away at work sometimes I pull it in to charge L2 off of the Mach-E plug, but since I can't shut the garage door, I'm not going back in the house. The workspace is perfect for getting work done while I guard my stuff in the garage.

Yea, I agree, but Ford's bad faith behavior is the exact same. They fix their mistake quietly in the cheapest way possible, then act like the people bitching are idiots, and wrong about what they are claiming. Good luck showing anyone a printed window sticker, they'll be like, ohhh you misunderstood that feature. Not even Ford's own customer service reps understand their features or the naming conventions. They just say, must have been a mistake, sorry, here's some Ford Pass points.

This is different than the deleted steering wheels and seats and a few other items that were from supply chain issues. Those items were intentionally offered "at a later date" with instructions on how to install individually. Without Ford's specific instruction and demand dealers will not / can not install individual features. Can you imagine if they did, it would open up a precedent for others who just wanted it to just pay and have it done.

Dude, they didn't retroactively change the sticker of a truck already sold, they changed the stickers of trucks ON THE LOT so that a future owner doesn't have the same problem.

What was described here was fixing their mistake, not hiding it.

There are lots of things to raise the pitchforks over, but this is not one
