They removed this? How is this even a thing to remove? How would this save any money?
Might be related to the issue with the Gear Shift Module failing when being lowered and raised.

I agree on the keypad thing. When I bought my '23 I did not see much use for the keypad. Now I use it daily, especially to lock the doors as the button on the handles does not always work on the first press.
Yeah, the handles are weird like that. Like you have to close the door, wait a couple of seconds, and then they respond right away. Wish it was an instant thing instead, I ended up installing the keypad on my Pro cause I couldn't stand waiting for the handles to activate

I am not sure I agree with the OP on this. For the Lariat (at least) there seem to be a few things that now come standard on the 2025 that were options.
  • BlueCruise is standard vs $2100 option
  • Use your phone as a key (not an option on 2024 as far s I can tell)
  • Full LED headlights v hybrid (not confirmed)
  • I also think the black interior looks nicer
These things may not be worth waiting, and lime others have said, maybe a few things are actually downgrades. In addition to these things, I've always sorta thought it was a good idea to get later models as "kinks get worked out".

I would love to be wrong and be convinced to go with a 2024, becuase, as people have pointed out, the incentives are quite good right now.

I hope you're not getting your info from FaceBook or God forbid, a salesman.

The 2024 Lariats absolutely have the full matrix headlights and PAAK. PAAK not available on lower trims as always.

BC for 3 years was made optional for 2024 on the Lariat. That holds over for 2025. Both years it only includes a 90-day trial standard. The 2025 Platinum does come with 1 year standard.

There are Order Guides for 2024 and 2025 on this forum that you can refer to.

Ben,

  • BlueCruise Equipped (1-Year Plan) is now standard ONLY on 2025 Platinum and optional on 2025 Lariat.
  • BLUECRUISE EQUIP: 90DAY TRIAL standard on 2025 Lariat
  • Phone as a Key was standard on my 2023 Lariat and my 2024 Platinum.
  • Walk Away Lock is standard on my 2024 Platinum and I was waiting for the software update to enable it on my 2023 Lariat.
  • Full LED Headlights are standard on my 2024 Platinum
  • Universal Garage Door Opener was deleted on the 2024. I bought a plug an play Survivor with Ford Pass Points to add it my 2024 Platinum
2025 Platinum's have Black Leather interior available. The Light gray looks nice and is cooler than black but the Black will hold up better. If Black were an option in 2024 that what I would have chosen.

Other than Black Leather option, I see no meaningful advantage waiting for a 2025.

That being said, the March incentives on a 2024 are now GONE.

Thanks for the list. I have mostly been set on the Lariat because it seems to be the right balance of amenities and price for me. I guess the main "incentives" I am still seeing on a 2024 v a 2025 are a $3500 discount (Offer Valid: 04/03/2025-06/02/2025) and the fact that I can get 0% for 5 years on a 2024 but the best rate right now on a 2025 is 2.9%. for a 36 month term.

They also are advertising employee pricing for everyone. That drops the price of a Lariat amother few thousand before incentives. Plus if MSRP before destination charges is less tha $80,000 it also qualifies for $7,500 point of sale tax credit if purchasing.

I am also very partial to the Lariat. Be aware for both 24 and 25 you will likely not find any with the 9.6 kW ProPower or the Max Tow packages. For some folks those are important options. For example with the 9.6 kW ProPower you can provide a good amount of backup power to your house.

The reason those options are rare on 24's and 25's is that they usually put the MSRP (before destination) over $80K and thus no longer eligible for the $7500 federal rebate (likely going away soon). Assumes you are income-eligible.

Great points. I would like to add the 9.6 ProPower. I am not sure if I fall into the income-eligibility window these days or not. Thanks.

income limit for EV tax credit is Adjusted Gross Income cannot exceed $150k individual, $225k head of household and $300k married filing joint or surviving spouse. If you today your AGI needs to be below those income figures for tax year 2024 or tax year 2025.

You can get ProPower 9.6 if you skip other pricey options like MaxTow or the 3-year BC (can be added later). But again, you likely won't find one on a dealer lot. There are 75 Lariats within 500 miles of me - none with 9.6 kW ProPower. :( If you want that, you would have to move down to a Flash or forgo the rebate and get a Platinum.

You could order a 2025 from a dealer. I don't know the timing and if it can get here before the rebate goes away (90 days after signed into law.)

Look at the Price list here and remember the 80K limit doesn't include the $2095 destination fee.
