There is a 2025 sticker posted in one of the leading Lightning forums if anyone is interested in looking for changes.

One thing it notes and I don't recall if this is a change - it comes with one year of BC on a Lariat. I didn't see anything else much different.

Oh - don't want to imply that at all. I direct way too many FB peeps that don't know how to use Google to this site. It's a whole different level of "I don't know" out there.

I didn't ask the guy, so didn't want to snag a copy of it either even though they are public knowledge.

Whew, I went over to the other two forums I'm registered with, they pale in comparison to this forum, both head count and posting traffic.

Ford is so sloppy with the new order guides for 2025. The Mach-E order guide is a mess, The Lightning one too and the Bronco one, ugh... More Ford cost-cutting, they obviously got rid of whoever would proof read or edit these.

I'm assuming the Lariat keeps the 131kWh battery... It seems that way, but it does list the 122kWh battery for the Lariat on the initial summary page for the Lariat trim. There's some other discrepancies in there.

I'm kinda glad I got my '23, but would have liked to have the scales and cabin sensors. I still have not been successful in getting my light bar recall and heated steering wheel installed. And I've owned the truck over 2 years now! That's another story, but Ford service and parts for their EVs is a joke. And yet, we're signing up for another round of it, we have a 2025 Mach-E on order -- scheduled to enter production next week. '25 seems to be just a year of cost cuts in Ford's favor. And they took away one of their best colors again, as they love to do. Now removing Avalanche from the already bleak 2025 color palette. Sure, they have a surplus of gray tones, but Avalanche is like the best one. Glacier Gray like on the Mach-E would be cool... But I don't see them adding anything.

Oh, and yeah, they pulled the smaller battery shenanigans with the Mach-E too. The extended range battery on the Select and Premium trims are now 88kWh and the 91kWh battery is on the GT and Rally.

Ugh. whoever said on this forum that they will discontinue the lightning is probably spot on…. At least for retail. But when you go over to the fleet side they have every option in the book to order a lightning. Maybe that’s the play …who knows but Ford is all over the place with what they want to do. And to be doing this when Tesla is in freefall right now …. If ford would have stuck to their guns /timeline , and came out with a new Mach e and lightning/ 3rd row SUV this year I’m sure ford would gain market share. . But I’m not the one losing $5B a year supposedly so maybe I’m wrong.

The top brass at Ford doesn’t understand EVs or their customers. Farley seems like he’s starting to maybe get it, at least a little bit. I appreciate that he got the industry to make a commitment to NACS and kick off the opening of the Tesla network. I know when he drove that Xiaomi EV for a month it was a real eye-opener for him. It’s also clear from the recent interview with him about EVs and upcoming EREV vehicles that Ford doesn’t not want to be an innovator in the battery and large EV space. They’re content to wait for others to solve those problems.
