There's more than cloth seat, carpet, light bar and painted bumpers but hey I get it the price bumps and interest rates screwed a lot out of a chance to buy one. If you can swing it buy it you'll love it like everyone else does 🤠
Ya, there's quite a bit more equipment including things that I want like the interior work surface, the door keypad, power adjustable pedals, xm radio.

Makes you think there will be a XLT price increase soon. Price too close to the XLT with its upgrades.

Your comment got me to go through and review the differences. At this point we just about covered all of them. Running boards and power seats, also on the XLT. But note that the Pro gets the 360 camera with the tow tech package, though it's almost $600 more on the Pro than the XLT ($1950 vs $1395)

Power pedals and seats are probably worth the 3k to me now. The Pro seats aren't bad by any stretch but they're higher off the floor than I'd expect. I'm not extra tall but if I were much taller i'd about be at the top of the cab

Cloth seating, extended running boards, enhanced zone lighting, and a 360-degree camera.

I can't not express enough how much I use and love the 360 camera. The look from above is so useful.

Oh, yep, the 360 cam is great for such a huge vehicle, for sure! I use it basically every time I drive. It's a must have, IMO. Is the Tow Technology package on the XLT cheaper because the 360 cam is standard?

Edit: someone answered my question already. It's a $550 difference in the Tow Tech package vs the Pro. So, the real difference is ~$3000 between Pro and XLT, IMO. I might do it for $3k to get the painted bumpers and light bar and keypad, although I prefer the vinyl to cloth seats.

For 2023, if you wanted an ER Lariat, you have to go up in trim. It was a double whammy price increase. Always take the "starting at" prices with a grain of salt.

The '22 Pro I bought for $41,769 (including destination charge and mobile power cord) now costs $62,369 as a '23. Wild.
Yes but you don't have heated seats. $20,600 for heated seats seems pretty reasonable...

Just got an email from Ford to order my car! had a reservation since 11/2021, I was gonna go for the PRO back then, now PRO makes 0 sense, freakin XLT is $66k for a base XLT in red!!! I really wanted the F-150 since it came out but honestly this is too expensive.

Ford is blaming supply chain, parts shortages, and market conditions for the price increase. What they won't say is that they are mismanaged and a lot of inefficiencies are driving profit margins way down. Chevy might be able to undercut them just by running their business more efficiently.

Ford, fix your internal issues first! Don't just pass the costs of your mismanaged, inefficient business model to the customer.
What's interesting is that Tesla just had price drops. I'm not sure they noted exactly why, but the new Performance Y we just picked has no option deletes on it, no noted constraints - about $10K less than in December and $7500 from Uncle Sam. Hell of a deal.

I agree. My Pro stickered at $45.6. Just built the same truck online and it is a tad over $68k. The Pro is a nice $45k truck but no way I would spend $68k.
My 2019 Platinum stickered for $63k and was bought for $55k, which I thought, at the time, was a lot for a truck.
Where does it end.

The reality is that trucks are just crazy expensive, now.

To replicate the base Lightning Pro in a gas truck, you'd have to spend $50k, so after tax credit, it's only $2500 more than the gas version, which is an XL Supercrew 4x4 Powerboost Hybrid. A Lariat or Platinum or whatever would be a lot more money.

I agree the pricing is crazy and I probably wouldn't spend $20k more on my Pro than I did, but it's ALL trucks that have gone crazy, it seems.

The price of Cobalt is also steeply down in addition to the earlier mentioned lithium which is plummeting. China is experiencing an internal price cutting war on both ev's and batteries. You have to wonder if maybe Ford overcommitted long term to buying batteries at last years prices in a desperate attempt to secure them. Now as the materials prices fall they're stuck paying out their contracted price. I just don't see it being financially sensible to get any level trim of the lightning at the moment. Tesla's experience in the battery supply chain could enable them to match the lightnings pricing.

It will be very interesting how they price the Cybertruck, for sure!

Same here pirate. We have unicorns! Unbelievable value and 8k miles later, I’m still stunned with the product they produced at that price.

As of early Feb 2023:

Tesla's average profit margin: $9,574
Ford's average profit margin: -$762

Ford is a grossly mismanaged company.
