I'll leave my reservation open for now. Maybe when I get a. Hence to sit in and test drive and tweak the CT, maybe.
Enjoying the Lightning and Model Y in the meantime.
I will say the CT looks ALOT better wrapped. That's another expense to factor in..
Absolutely, the wrap makes a huge difference. Without it I agree with the naysayers that it has somewhat of an appliance look to it. To me not bad, but also not attractive.

The good thing is that the CT is probably the only truck where I'd feel comfortable attempting to wrap it myself due to its lack of curves.

I thought the same but saw some comments from some youtube videos about it being a lot harder than it seemed.

I couldnā€™t care less about the Cybertruck. I find it amazing that Tesla fanboys spend time on Ford forums gushing about the CT. Itā€™s pathetic that people paid a premium for the ā€œFoundationā€ series. Thereā€™s nothing about the CT that screams ā€œsix figureā€ vehicle.

Sure, there was a ā€œlook at meā€ factor for a brief period, but even then, it wasnā€™t the right kind of ā€œlook at meā€. We were all looking, because these buyers were idiots. Now, thereā€™s enough of them on the road in affluent parts of the country that the ā€œbe the first on your blockā€ factor is long gone. Owning a CT today is like driving around with an unfunny clown costume.

From build quality to utility, the F150 Lightning is a superior product for less money. It blends right in and goes with anything. Itā€™s bigger, especially where it counts from interior space to the bed. Gets better real world range. You can charge it at a supercharger with the tail gate down. Heck, as pointless as pickup truck acceleration can be, a Lightning is even quicker 0-60 than the dual motor Cybertruck. The F150 is great at doing ā€œtruckā€ things. Unlike a CT, youā€™re not worried about bending the tailgate on an F150 or shearing the hitch off its casting.

The Cybertruck is a garbage product. The end of the Foundation Series is really about Tesla slashing the price, because they already blew through reservation holders willing to pay the $20k premium to be first loser. Super losers now that Elon just gave you an instant $20k of depreciation with the price cut.

There are forums for the Tesla and the Cybertruck. Post there and debate the 2-3 option choices for the thing. Naturally, you will keep posting here, because Elonā€™s army of the brain dead is the closest thing that Tesla has to a marketing department.

Meanwhile, Iā€™ve got 30k miles on my Lightning and I just love the thing. šŸ‘

I still have my reservation, but love my Lightning. If the $7,500 tax credit were available for the $80k Cybertruck, I might pull the trigger if not for the high insurance rates. Also, Geico just dropped coverage for the Cybertruck. This does not bode well, as you have no idea how much the insurance rates are going to be for it moving forward. My Lighting was actually less expensive to insure than my 4 year old Model 3 was.

I received the email telling me my CyberTruck is ready to be delivered, from the order I placed long before Ford announced the Lightning.

That order was based on it being the first EV pickup truck, and that it would start at $40K, with the 2 motor option costing about $50-$60K.

The email they just sent me is for an $80K truck. Suffice it to say, I see no reason to give up my Lightning.

It's my 8th Ford, and it's the best vehicle I've ever driven. It was delivered on time, and for the price they promised.

For Cybertruck D-tractors...you love your Lightning but...

But can you slice veggies with the Ford Lightning Frunk? Cybertruck can.
Do you really need a rear-view camera that works without delay when shifting into reverse, when all you'll see in the Cybertruck rear-camera is people giving you the finger and you want to run over them anyway? Nah.
On the road, you can get them with your detaching applique!
Especially when your accelerator pedal has detached and become lodged in the interior trim sending you off at ludicrous speed!
Do you need a windshield wiper motor that works? What's a little water on the glass.
Who cares if the font size on the display is unreadable - does anyone really need all that "safety information" anyway?
Does your Lightning attract as much attention as the Cybertruck? Yes, most of it is negative attention, glares, raised middle fingers, obscene shouts, etc., but any publicity is good publicity, right?

(The above is satire based on NHTSA safety recalls and other Cybertruck issues like being truly ugly and slicing veggies with the frunk.)
