Hi
I bought on 11/30 -12/1/24 a 2024 SR Pro with no max trailer tow package or trailer technology package.
The sales man sold me a spray in bed liner and a trailer brake. This Wednesday I brought it in for the bed liner and the trailer brake. The bed liner was done yesterday.
After 3 hours of working on the Trailer Brake Wednesday and a few more hours working on it today and frying a tail light control module (which they have to order and replace), today the Service Manager called me saying they couldn't do it.
I received some information from EV Mariner as to which dealer in Maine got his brake going. I offered the information to the Service Manager whom said he didn't care.
My son who runs the maintenance department for a contracting firm, works with another dealer for their commerical trucks says don't let Ford off the hook.
I have on the farm here semi tractors and other heavy vehicles.
It does not make any sense for afford to put a Class IV hitch (10,000# capable) and an anti-sway on a F150 lightning capable of towing 5,500#, but limited to 3,500# without installing a trailer brake, which is not possible.
I am openly for advice here.
The trailer brake and bedliner was wrapped into the financing.
Thanks looking for an idea here.
