Bunch of colossal idiots with zero customer service or execution.
Being new to the forum, I thought at first that you were being a bit extreme..., but then I read some of the other threads on the HIS or whatever it's called. Yikes! https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...nate-with-the-local-utility.13671/post-287027

Does Ford even have a white paper on the Home Backup and how to best set it up?
The following seems to be what I'm looking for: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...backup-power-without-sunrun.12564/post-266693

Edit_Update: Also, Tom Moloughney's State of Charge YouTube video on the Home Backup gives a good overview of the setup and the potential cost, along with a nice sermon on "Do you really want to blow all this money!?," along with potential alternatives that cost a lot less. https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...kup-detailed-review-by-state-of-charge.14098/

Probably a bit of both. And YMMV

But living in Austin, I’ve developed a high pain tolerance for incompetence by home service providers - and SunRun took the cake

EDIT: wish @Ford Motor Company was paying attention

Also living in Texas. I'm L1 charging exclusively and ... it's working out just fine.

The truck is uber efficient around town and it has so much battery. If I do use a lot one day, there's so much range that it'll replenish during a lull period. Granted, I'm not driving much! When I do, it's on trips with fast charging.

That said, if I end up continuing on L1 I'm going to have a new receptacle installed and the line inspected by an electrician.
