Just curious. On my 2018 with AMP steps, when I opened the drivers side door only the drivers side step would deploy. On my 2021 with the factory steps, when I opened the drivers door both sides would deploy. Can you tell me how the 2021+ AMP steps work? These are model #AMP78152-01A.
Driver's side doors open driver's steps only, passenger side doors opens passenger's steps only.Just curious. Originally I had ordered my truck with power boards ($200 upcharge if I remember correctly), but unfortunately the option was cancelled by Ford. Factory would be nicer as you wouldn't need to do the after the fact wiring. Is there any indication that having the steps folded in like that improves efficiency at all? Or is the difference negligible?
Regardless, I love the feature and plan on getting it if/when I get my truck. Interestingly, when I took the Ford survey last month, it asked if I would add power steps to a lariat and I answered yes. Makes me wonder if 2024 MY will have the option.
Yah sure, thanks. I ended up flipping mine upside down and using the left two bolts thinking straight up wouldn’t work, but I’d rather go your way.I just moved it up a few inches and secured it using only the higher bolt holes. Can take a picture later if you like.
Mine is a pro. So yes!Not sure this is knowable without having a pro BUT, think these would work with a Pro trim?
Looks like motor rubs a little.
