Any way to upload a map locations file?

Is there way to upload a map locations file (Google Earth .kml or GPS .gpx or .loc etc.)? My specific application is to be able to upload a GPS file with saved GeoCaches. It would really be cool to have all the GeoCaches in whatever area I'm in showing up on the map.

But how do I get that onto the truck?
I have not found any way to add am app that is on my phone to function through the truck.

For other apps, they need to be approved by Android Auto. OnX and Organic Maps are approved for use with Android Auto. To add them to Android Auto:

1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Search for Android Auto
3. Tap Android Auto App Info
4. Tap Additional Settings in the app
5. Under Display, tap Customize Launcher
6. Make sure the apps you want are checked.

You can now find those on the vehicle screen by tapping the app selector under the main Android Auto frame (usually for me that frame is Google Maps).

You can also import your kml/kmz into Google My Maps for use with Google Maps. I typically use my computer to edit my maps, it's easier than on the phone. BUT this doesn't make them easily visible in Android Auto on the vehicle, or at least I don't know how to make them visible.

After you've loaded those points into a custom Google My Map:

1. On your phone, using the same Google account, open Google Maps.
2. Tap on the bottom of the screen, [You]
3. Scroll down to where you find [Maps]
4. Select the map that you want to load.
5. Tap on one of the points and you can navigate to it.
6. However, this doesn't show up in Android Auto as anything other than a map coordinate and all of the points you imported are not visible to the Google Maps on Android Auto. I am not aware of how to make them appear.
