Anyone removed the tailgate and disconnected that camera?

Hello. Has anyone removed the tailgate and disconnected that camera? I'm curious if this triggers a constant in-cab alert or if its a non-issue? I will need to remove it a few times a year when using a slide in camper.

Line-X removed my tailgate to spray the bedliner and I have had no issues.
