While driving the other day I was adjusting the auto mode to increse blower speed. I normally run mine on 1 but wanted more air flow so I cycled through 2 and 3. Oddly the fastest blower speed was on 2 and not 3. Checked a few other times and the results were the same. I'm guessing this is a software/programming fix. I will add it to my list of things to have the dealer look at when I take it in eventually. (Might be fixed OTA potentially.)

Is there a easy/effective way to report these issues directly to Ford (Email, phone call, FordPass, text....)

1,2,and 3 are auto settings. Depending on temp setting, you are lucky it did not stay on 1. Lower temp or use manual setting if you want higher.

I forget which menu but somewhere in settings there is a FEEDBACK function covering a variety of topics, give it a shot

That isn't the way it is designed and mine has not switched. You select one, two or three and it will adjust the cooling/heating with the preset blower you've chosen. If you choose one and it is hot, it is just going to take longer to cool as it isn't blowing as fast.

Check if your vents are set for underneath, front and/or windscreen ?

Mine works fine - blows air from the front only - fastest at 3.

That may not be the way it is designed. But that is how it works.

Mine does the same. Two indicators blows air the hardest, meanwhile 1 and 3 indicator barely work.

Try running MAX defrost for a few minutes, then turn that off, also remember to turn off rear window defroster, then test your auto settings, I did this a couple weeks ago and it corrected the fan speeds to correlate with the number of LED's illuminated.

Ditto. It was cold out this morning (30 degrees, well cold for CA), and I had temp set to 81 and auto set to 3. It did nothing that I could tell, then (after 5 mins of it doing nothing) switched to 2 and it blew hard. I'll give TaxMan's advice a try.

I have the same issue. All 3 auto settings do literally nothing. Even if I turn on front vents or defroster the auto button turns off. I will also try Taxman’s advice.

Will try this on my way home. I also reached out to Ford Motor Company in the forums this morning and they are already getting back with me. I think that we all should PM them for this issue, as they need to get this fixed in the next update.

Though this might reset the relationship of level 3 and 2, these speeds are still a disappointing weak output IMHO, the auto-3 should be blowing like a level 5 on the manual selector, and auto-2, like a 3, with 1 & 1 being equal, but that's just me .... I'm sure there are 100 other flavors

My truck is working on all three settings now. We will see if it reverts back or not.
I did the following to get mine back to working:
  • Remote start (in app)
  • Turned on Max defrost for about 5 minutes (not sure how long to do this for)
  • Turned off truck
  • Turn on truck and press the “Auto” button until it selects the three indicators.
  • High auto fan is working!
Good luck, all

I might give your technique a shot, I went for a coffee ride tonight, remote started warmed up the truck for 5-10 minutes.

All was toasty & warm when I came out to the truck, got in pressed the ON button to drive, the high speed pre-conditioning blower speed slowed down to normal rate, but the medium setting was blowing faster than high setting!!!
