Hi all. Posted in General to get max visibility then can transfer (leaving next week). I read a prior thread back around Thanksgiving/Christmas about a gentleman debating on taking his Lightning vs. Van on a trip. I believe he took the Van based on family matters and charging spots.

It has been 6 months since then. We ( 2 adults, minimal gear, Lariat ER) will be leaving southwest Maine (Kittery) at 100% and preconditioned. Heading to Bar Harbor which is 217 miles. I plan on doing the speed limit (70) with bluecruise (no speeding here). Easy one way no issues. North of Augusta is a ghost town it seems. Have any chargers been added recently?

We have nearly 9,000 miles on after 6 months but first adventure away from the home power source. Any tips? The commute up isnt a rush so if we need to hang for a bit that is fine. Anticipate some light traveling around the area but nothing more than a few miles.

Thank you all!

I recommend you plan your trip in ABRP. Check chargers in PlugShare. Look for slow chargers at your destination.

Thats not helpful Rick. Any idiot can post a default response, I am looking for substance (I saw you modified your response). You're in Michigan. I referenced this thread:

https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...ving-travels-whos-taking-the-lightning.13029/

I was genuinely asking if folks in the area have seen an improvement in charging. I will remind you that you are in Michigan (sorry). That thread spanned 6 pages. You are not being beneficial saying generic responses from Michigan.

I can't see what Rick posted to you because I have him blocked. Looks like he's still being just as rude as ever. I couldn't take it anymore.

Have you looked at the apps "A Better Route Planner" and Plugshare? I've made two long trips with my Lightning and Mach-E and the information I obtained with them was invaluable and made my trips trouble free.

First time hearing of Plugshare, thank you! This will be the first time away from the mothership.

This is what he said, verbatim. I'm not sure why it upset the OP so much :

"I recommend you plan your trip in ABRP. Check chargers in PlugShare. Look for slow chargers at your destination."

Edit: Apparently the post was edited after the fact so never mind.

Edit 2: Although it's weird that the post doesn't show that it's edited--I thought that was supposed to happen automatically.

He modified his post. It wasn't that initially.

I am done with him. I was honestly asking for folks in the northeast if they have had recent experience traveling. His pointless remarks are not needed.

I added the slow chargers part at the destination.

Told him to use ABRP and PlugShare. Oh well, seems so mean...

Because I am in Michigan Maine is so different. Driven in 12 states. Not hard, for most.

Just so I understand posting etiquette, was that right there your que that your whole post (in General) was specifically targeted to New England people and maybe even more specifically only to those who frequent the Bay Harbor / Augusta area ? Because other than that (which is generic in itself) the post is mostly "hey, I'm going on a trip, any advice" and I could easily have posted a similar response as Rick and been called an idiot for not understanding your question.

Not trying to defend Rick as such, just saying that maybe your question(s) wasn't as crystal clear to everyone else as it was to you.

Thread is closed, please be respectful of each other, we have a wide spectrum of personalities, snipes and side jab's aren't appreciated.

I think the OP has an idea of methods to make the journey happen, anyone want to share specifics in the northern maine travel corridor, can reach out to the OP in a DM.
