Battery replacement modules

So my truck is in the shop for a battery module replacement, and I was wondering what are the differences between the older module (from circa 2022) and this new one. Are they made by the same manufacturer (SK), same chemistry, etc...

They have to be identical I believe. And, they can't do the repair due to software being inaccessible until "June".

I was already flashed with the new BECM software at around 16K miles, and I currently have around 19K miles on the truck. Does that matter?

I believe they are identical. SK On has continued to produce cells and has contracts with others for them too.

I don't believe it is the BECM software that is the concern or reason for holdup. It is the PCM module. A new version was released in late April that caused issues. So on May 9th, they halted updating PCM.

My repair was completed on May 8th and they applied the faulty PCM update. My understanding at some point is my PCM will need to be reflashed. Whether it is OTA or by dealer I don't know.
