Bought my platinum lightning in December and just could not get used to the rake. Being a Raptor and Cybertruck owner I didn’t enjoy the look or the ride quality either. Really surprised there’s not more posts on ride quality, but my Lightning left much to be desired. Now, it rides so much better! Hated to spend another $4k, but I’m really happy with it. Next I’m going to have to upgrade the wheels and move to 35’s. Hopefully soon.

Definitely thinking some black tint or a wrap on the light bar would look better too. The aftermarket Raptor style grill’s have caught my eye on a few threads, so that’s another project too. 🙄

I’m getting really good at throwing good money after bad. 😂

Nice. Went with the same level - then powder coated my platinum rims and put 285/50r22 Toyo AT3

They are about 5 pounds less than the other 285/50r22s and I like them so far.

my efficiency is 2.0
Around town - 1.7 on highway.

about .1 better then my lariat I had that had 285/65r20. Those were about 61 pds and were nitro recons.

Looks great. Very nice to see it more leveled out.

I have to ask though, who in the world gouged you $4k for some 6112's !! Please tell me that included upper control arms too!

That Raptor grill is tempting. I have been eyeballing it for some time too.

Oh yeah, that included everything, control arms and the 3” inch level.

What issues were you having with the ride quality? I’ve noticed my truck doesn’t handle small bumps great and I can feel every imperfection in the road.

Yup. I’m not sure if it was just my truck, but I felt like the dispersion of vibrations was just directly being sent into the cab of the truck and into my seat. I’ve got a 22 raptor on 37’s that is more comfortable than the lightning was when I got it in December.

I put the Bilstein’s on first, which did give me about a 1 inch bump up front, but the rake was still there, but ride was improved tremendously. My hope was to get that front end up even higher to get some weight back with the 3”. It definitely helped.

This is exactly what I'm feeling which is frustrating because people say the ride is so smooth (and yeah, mine is on nice roads lol but we have potholes, man holes, cracks, etc where I'm from)...

I'll have to try the Bilstein's to smooth out those vibrations... Is that something you did on your own or had a shop do? Are the 6112's the best option for ride quality? Thanks man

I had Desert Rat do them for me. There may have been one level up on the Bilstein’s, but more off road application.

Hopefully it’ll help for you too, good luck!

Did you follow a guide for the install?
There’s a video on YouTube of a guy doing the front himself that I used as a reference. Of course I can’t find it now. If I run across it, I’ll post it.

Looks good. You might the first to complain about ride quality, I think most of us have felt is was too plush as opposed to vibration in the cabin.

Might be the 22's.

High speed vs low speed dampening, something can be floaty while still being harsh.

Putting 6112s on my Tacoma both firmed up the right and made it less harsh. I'm looking forward to the day I can put some on my Lightning.
