I purchased my ER Lariat about 2 weeks ago and I am in love with it. My commute is 35 miles one way, about 95% interstate, which is fully mapped. Bluecruise has worked pretty flawlessly and immediately engages as soon as I enter the highway. Some things I noticed, it was raining on my way home last night and it was off and on for most of the trip. Today however, I did not engage at all. No rain, no direct sunlight, I wasn't wearing anything extra. I tried turning it off a couple of times, and also toggled the adaptive cruise in the main menu. One thing I did notice is that there is some bug splatter on my truck. It's not excessive but it is noticeable. Would this be the cause of bluecruise not engaging?

Does auto lane keeping still work?
Try driving with cruise engaged. Switch lane keeping off, then back on. See if you get ant error messages.

I'm pretty sure BC doesn't do a wardrobe check...

Auto lane does work every time. I tried switching it off and on multiple times, no errors.

LMAOOO. While that is true, I did read the manual and it says that at times polarized glasses, headwear, masks, etc wont allow blue cruise to engage.

That generally means your systems are OK. It may be just a fluke and work perfectly next time.

Hope it's working for you. I had a situation where BC was working then had bug splatter cause issues with cameras.. later I had rain that washed off the cameras and BC started working again... so don't discount the bugs, I think it's the splat that counts.
