First post here. I just got my Lariat ER about a month ago and really enjoy it. 3 days ago my brother in law purchased a Mustang Mach E premium and we were comparing notes. I was a bit surprised his Mach-E on blue cruise changes lanes when he signals for it but my Lariat Lightning will not. Am I doing something wrong or is it not equipped??

thanks

MachEs tend to be ahead of Lightnings when it comes to software rollout. There used to be a good Wikipedia page tracking software versions, features, and rollout, but because nothing on it could be cited beyond personal experience of the contributors, Wikipedia killed it. I keep hoping someone recreates it with a github, maybe I need to be that someone, but I'd be a terrible steward of the repo.

Version with passing was supposed to be available the 4th quarter of 2023. Nothing yet!

I personally would like to know something that has actually met a timeline in the auto world recently. It’s all just marketing and trying to get your stock price to go up a tad for each announcement. I think I read today on a ford / Farley press release that a new “2025….3 row suv that will charge 400 miles on a smaller/lighter battery and will be $60k. I just laugh now to see what companies do to buy time .

Bluecruise 1.3 has to be ready
For the lightning ..it’s just frustrating that everything that the same technology in the same company’s other vehicles yet isn’t in a vehicle that is equipped. The 23 super duties have a little software “glitch” where every time it starts up the info screen reverts back to a default screen where 24 super duties and all f150s (- including lightning work correctly )- revert back to your chosen settings. 23 super duties have OTA and could easily fix this issue but they haven’t yet. Just another example of OMs inability to fix simple issues in real time.

It's been asked in other threads but I haven't seen the answer yet. Where do I look to determine which version of BC I am running?

If you don't have lane change, you're on 1.0. 2023 trucks only recently started getting the OTA for 1.4. If you have FORScan, check what software strategy your IPMA is on. If the dealer updated the IPMA for you at some point and it says you are on the ACJ or BBC strategy, then you have the software for the new BC, but would need to enable it with FORScan.

I have the lane change feature. I have a ‘24 Lariat. I got it at the end of November. Took me a few days to discover the lane change.

I just do a light tap on the turn signal and it does an animation at the bottom of the screen and starts to change lanes.

The animation is not in the IPC software for 21-23 trucks. Only the 24+ have it so far.

I took delivery of my 2024 Lariat on 10/1, and driving it home from out of town I tried out the auto lane change. My Lariat's production date is 5/24, so it must have left the factory with BC 1.4? You have to push the T-signal lever down when the blind spot is clear, so I'm anxious for the version 1.5 like the Mach E's recently received that will do the lane change totally by itself.

2024's shipped with BC 1.2. Certain model year Mach E are getting 1.3 sent to them and certain model year trucks are getting 1.4 sent to them. BC 1.5 with auto lane change is not available for any vehicle yet.

Still trying to understand all this. It would be nice if one could find out what version they are on through the information on the vehicle.

If you have a 2024, it's BC 1.2.

Bezel Diagnostics can give more info about your truck. Not sure if you can see what version BC you have from that, maybe @rugedraw would know.

Here is what my truck shows. Pretty sure I am still on BC 1.0
