Charger out of range alarm

The couple times I've tried to use the Ford navigation, I've failed on figuring it out. I was also driving, so I couldn't really spend time with my eyes away. I ended up using Apple maps as I could easily type that in. Kind of a way you know if something is designed right or not.....

That's why things like the Lightning backing up to a trailer hitch, which in early 2023 Ford said would be there "by end of year", still isn't there a year later than promised.

Sorry, off topic. Is this something different than tow tech? I can have my Lightning back itself up to a trailer hitch. Well, I have to hold the little button down, but it works.

Considering how often my Ford Nav freezes completely it's completely useless to me. I don't trust it in any way.

Is that another 22 vs the others thing? Seems strange my mid-year 23 would have it but not other trucks.

I call our 2022-2023 Lightnings "Post Covid" trucks cause of the computer chip shortage the world face during the manufacturing dates of our trucks. Certain computer chips were left out in some trucks because of the shortage.
My 2023 lightning Lariat is missing three computers sensors! The trailer backup assist , the motion sensor alarm and the bed weight scale. Really depends on the manufacturing date of your truck and the chip availability they had at that time.
Just be thankful everyday what we have..

Keep looking, there is a setting in pro power on board that lets you adjust the energy reserve to a lower mileage, it's primary purpose is to ensure that you NOT run your truck out of energy while in generator mode, adjust this setting from 50 miles to 10 miles it will also affect the navigation warning IIRC, select a value & irritation balance so that your not caught dead on the road.

Let me correct myself and FYI to all the PPOB and Battery range warnings are separate settings, if you want to curtail the nagging, go to Settings, Vehicle, Low Battery, select the miles that fits your tolerance.

During todays NH road trip, I had this go off with a 50 miles to go setting, tweaking the PPOB setting only curtails the PPOB stay on or off messages.

Before adjustment & After lowering to 20 miles, this is a rather pessimistic estimation based on an overall 1.8 MPK on an ER battery would be 61 miles remaining, it's reserving 13 miles of electron fumes.

The day trip was mostly highway, running a relaxed 66 MPH on gentle rolling hills of southern New England, {95, 495, rt-3}
