Firstly I apologize. It’s 3 awg wire. I’m running a 6awg for my Nena 14-50 outlet at the cottage so I got my wires crossed.

Certified electrician installed this at home. ESA inspected as well.
You had us worried for a bit! 😀

It’s a 6/3 AWG. We ran a 6/3 to a new subpanel in the garage at 100-amps. From the subpanel with 100-amp breaker it goes to the charger. So 6 AWG handles 80-amps.
I'm saying rewire from the FCSP to the J-plug. There must be lengths available longer than what was shipped with the charger, you just have to identify it, find it, pay for it, and rewire it.

I'm saying rewire from the FCSP to the J-plug. There must be lengths available longer than what was shipped with the charger, you just have to identify it, find it, pay for it, and rewire it.
It's much more pliable than a typical 3/3 awg wire. No one at Ford can tell me.

May have to rewire my FCSP outside to make it easier.
