I disagree. It's the combination of the standard implication that a mental health disorder is just "in your head" combined with the implication that OP had such an issue. It's carefully crafted and spun dismissive language that happens to be pretty offensive if you drill down a little.

Yes, I agree. But multiple wrongs don't make a right. And if you were the only person doing it I'd just ignore it and move on. It's the fact that it's a widely spread problematic position that makes it worth addressing.

Anyway, I've now said literally all I have to say about the matter.
WOW! You sure read a lot in my post that wasn't there. I am not sure how you got the idea i did not believe the op.
I promise to keep taking my escitalopram, maybe you should look into some for you. Just a thought.

Working as designed. They can also stop it on the EVSE screen.
And the design is stupid. Tesla got this one right...

If my vehicle is charging and locked while I'm away from it, no one should be able to disrupt my charge session or unplug me. Unlock the charge port and release if the vehicle is lifted for tow or if the the manual release is engaged by a first responder, tow truck operator, etc..

Unfortunately this "feature" of being able to unplug me or stop my session from the EVSE screen (without a PIN like the V4 Tesla chargers are doing) is a carry-over from the approach with long-term L2 stations where one charger serves multiple spaces and people will unplug and re-plug to "share". That system never worked for anyone. I gave up at airport parking or other places with shared L2 because it seems that every time I'd park and plug in thinking I might get mostly charged up before I return, I get the notice that I've been unplugged about the time I'm stepping on the plane. And when I return to my car a week later, the charge cord isn't plugged in to anyone, but just laying there in an adjacent space. Or some asshat in a random SUV took an EV space and has the charge cord connector end sitting on his bumper, wedged behind his license plate or something.

If you are having this happen on a J1772 handle (Level 1 or 2), you will notice a small hole at the top. You can put a lock through this hole to keep it from being disconnected.

The charger should definitely have the ability to lock and not be tampered with.

If it's reasonable to fear the possibility of "over charging" and wanting to have the option of random strangers walking by to save your truck from going fireball, you probably shouldn't be owning an EV.
